Easter lilies kill kitties!
Please make sure that if you have pets, do not bring lilies into your home. The effects are very severe in cats! The lilies that may live in your home for a week are not worth risking your cat’s life.
To all of the people who want to argue that a Lily didn’t hurt their cat… that’s great for you! But it will kill others’ cats so we want to warn people. Maybe share an adoptable pet instead of arguing about a graphic created to spread awareness of Lily toxicity.
The office will be closed today ,due to the snow. We will reopen Wednesday at 8 am. Stay safe and warm everyone.
Animals have a way of healing us! 🙏❤️

Where does YOUR dog lie on this sociability scale?
Happy Summer! Our current protocol for your pet’s visit , is to allow one patient and one patient parent in the building for the exam and treatments. Please be aware that masks will be required in the building by both clients and staff. Masks are optional in the parking lot. Let us know if you prefer to wait outside for the exam . Medication and food pick up will still be handled outside . Please call us when you arrive and someone will be happy to bring it out for you.
Dear Clients,
You may have heard claims about safety concerns with Seresto Collars following a report in early March. I wanted to share some information with you that I thought you may find useful. I will continue to update you with new information as it becomes available. What I do know is that the most reliable source for purchasing a collar is from your veterinarian, as we order the product directly from the distributor. There have been concerns over counterfeit products out there and, since these collars are available without a prescription, they are widely available.
Please call us with any questions or concerns. Your pet's safety and well-being are our top priority.

Happy Spring 2021!
We are beyond excited that springtime has arrived! Thank you for weathering the past year with us as we provided curbside care since the beginning of the pandemic. We are still continuing to provide this service since it is extremely difficult to adequately social distance in our small practice setting. We are hoping to be able to invite clients inside starting this summer, depending on the status of the pandemic. We will keep you posted on our transition and on the guidelines we will be implementing to continue to keep you & my staff safe and healthy.
Take care everyone!
Sincerely,
Dr. Jess
Merry Christmas! We will be closing today at noon and reopening Monday the 28 th at 8 am. We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.
Dear Clients,
Thank you for your continued support, patience, and generosity during 2020. All of our lives have been impacted by the pandemic and practicing veterinary medicine has been no exception. It has been by working together that we have been able to continue providing high quality care for your pets.
Also, a huge THANK YOU to my dedicated team who has masterfully adapted to all the changes and have remained committed to making your pet's veterinary experience stress free and positive.
I would like to update you on how we are continuing to provide services at this time.
COVID-19 SCREENING QUESTIONS
Prior to your pet's appointment, we will send you a list of screening questions. If you answer YES to any of the following questions, please respect everyone’s health and safety and reschedule your pet's appointment.
Have you or a household member tested positive for COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days?
Are you presently in quarantine for exposure or potential exposure to COVID-19?
Are you presently experiencing any symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or any other respiratory illness?
Have you traveled outside the US or to a state other than NH or VT in the past 14 days?
CURRENT SAFETY PRACTICES
MANDATORY FACE COVERINGS: Wearing a face mask or covering is mandatory for all interactions with veterinary staff, even if you are in your car and communicating via a partially opened window. We reserve the right to refuse service for anyone not in compliance with this requirement.
SOCIAL DISTANCING: We will make every effort to respect your personal space and remain at a safe distance when your pet is in transition from your hands to ours. We know that maintaining 6 feet is not always possible, but we will do our best during our interactions with you.
CURBSIDE CARE: At this time we are still practicing curbside care. Upon arrival, please call 207-477-8144 or text 207-806-7153 to announce your arrival. Please park along the rock wall at a sign displaying these numbers. *If you do not have a mobile phone with service in Acton, please let us know ahead of time when scheduling your appointment. When instructed, please bring to the door your large/medium sized dog ON A LEASH or your cat/small dog in a clean pet carrier. Unfortunately, no clients are permitted in the clinic at this time. The only exception is for pet euthanasia, during which one family member will be able to be present as long as the COVID-19 screening conditions have been met.
COMMUNICATION DURING YOUR PET'S VISIT: During your pet's appointment we will contact you by phone to ask additional questions, review findings, and discuss a plan for testing/future visits.
AFTER YOUR PET'S APPOINTMENT: a team member will bring your pet back to your car and then the check out process will be completed. You will receive a receipt, date for a future appointment, and any products requested or prescribed during your pet's visit.
Thank you for taking the time to review our COVID-19 protocols. Your pet’s health, your health, and the health of my veterinary team members are my top priorities.
Stay healthy & safe this holiday season and beyond. Hoping that 2021 will be a positive one for all of us.
