Meet Lenny! This fun & affectionate boy is looking for a place to call his own. He's a shepherd mix, approximately 1 year old.

He's upbeat, playful, and super social. He is housebroken, can settle nicely near you while you work (though he will occasionally nudge your arm and try to climb onto your lap), has made dog friends, and loves his toys.

Lenny is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, has been dewormed, has been tested negative for Heartworm and started on prevention... he's good to go!

Gilbert is a 6-month-old male Great Pyrenees. He had quite the rough start in life; he and his brother were abandoned in Arkansas and his brother, tragically, did not survive being hit by a car, leaving Gilbert on his own. He is a sweet boy who, once he gains some confidence, will make a really nice companion.

He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and has been heartworm tested negative and started on prevention.

Due to his breed and their tendency to roam, a fenced yard will be required.

Jasmine is a 1-2 year old female mixed breed (best guess is Lab / Hound). She's fun, playful, gets along nicely with other dogs, is almost always sporting a smile, and will almost never be found far from a toy to present you with.

She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, heartworm tested negative and on preventative. She even appears to be housebroken!

Mario is an approx. 2-year-old Great Pyrenees. He's great with people (really, he loves everyone), is affectionate, fun & playful. He's even housebroken and walks nicely on leash. He would do best as an only dog or with a younger, smaller dog friend.

He's up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, has been dewormed, is on flea/tick prevention, and has completed his treatment for Heartworm.

LUCA is still looking for his forever home. He’s been out and about exploring the neighborhood today and we’re told he’s great in the car, walks nicely on his easy walk harness and was so happy to meet everyone he came across. This 5 month old, male, lab mix is fun for sure!

Luca is a 5-month-old black Lab mix who is looking for his forever home. He's pure puppy - active, playful, and looking to keep busy. He does settle nicely in his crate and has been very clean indoors (no potty accidents here so far!). He loves other dogs, is cat friendly, and has lived successfully with both when he was in his foster home. He would be OK in a home with older children.

He's up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and has been dewormed.

River is a 9-10 month old Yellow Lab (possibly mixed with a little something). She's social & outgoing, affectionate, and playful. She's active and likes to have things to do, but settles nicely and can just hang, too. River is dog and cat friendly.

She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, has been dewormed, is heartworm negative, on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and is microchipped.

Wally is a 4-5 year old male cattle dog mix. He is friendly, laid back, has gotten along well with the other dogs he has met, and even knows some basic obedience and a couple of tricks!

He is up to date on vaccinations, has been neutered & dewormed, is heart worm negative, on flea/tick & heart worm prevention, and is microchipped.

Sassy is a 7-year-old French Bulldog who came to us after years of being a breeder mom and then the death of her owner. She's sweet, fun, confident, gets along with the other dogs we've had her with... just an all around nice dog! Like a lot of Frenchies, she does have some skin issues (which have greatly improved since cleaning up her flea infestation) and is on daily allergy meds that will likely need to be continued longterm.

A Model Shelter

A widely praised model shelter, Animals for Adoption has recently undergone some dynamic changes. Our theme of “Dogs and People Working Together” is rewriting the rules of animal sheltering. Yes, we take dogs in and adopt them out. We also go beyond that to give as many dogs as possible roles that benefit the dogs, their owners and the community.
