There’s nothing quite like the journey of a true cow horse — from the snaffle bit, to the hackamore, into the two-rein, and ultimately into the bridle. It’s a process built on patience, feel, and trust, and every step has a purpose.

We start in the snaffle, giving a young horse the foundation they need: softness, understanding, and confidence. Then comes the hackamore, where they learn to carry themselves with more balance and feel. The two-rein stage blends it all together — the refinement of the bridle with the guidance of the bosal — a place where the horse really starts to step up.

And finally, the goal we all aim for: a true bridle horse. A horse you can ride with respect, lightness, and communication that feels almost invisible. A horse someone can follow behind and admire, knowing the years of dedication that went into every step of the journey.

A cow horse will spend the majority of their career in the bridle, so building a solid bridle horse isn’t just a milestone — it’s the ultimate goal. There’s no shortcut, no rushing the process. Just time, feel, and the partnership you build along the way.

✨ The quiet after the futurity hits a little different. The crowds fade, the lights dim, and around here… the real work begins.

This is our favorite kind of quiet—
the kind where new babies are being started with patience and purpose,
and our two-year-olds are stepping up to become confident, capable three-year-olds.

This season is all about consistency, foundation, and hard work.
No shortcuts. No rushing. Just showing up every day and giving these young horses the time, guidance, and repetition they need to become the talented athletes we know they can be.

Here’s to fresh starts, steady progress, and building champions long before the arena sees them. 💫🐴

🏆 We had a great time at the Southern Reined Cow Horse Show in Alabama!

All three of our open horses came home with a paycheck! 🙌

👏 Frank DeAngelo & Hudson In Tinseltown ended up 3rd in the Boxing Derby at their first show together!

🐮 Zoey Jane had a little tough luck in the Reined work but nailed her lead changes and marked a 69 on a tough cow!

⭐ Sarah Lawrence & Mr Uptown Cat improved their reining and marked a 71!

A huge thank you to SRCHA for a great show — we’re already looking forward to being back in January!
