Clinic Policy:
Cooper Animal Clinic will require that ALL PETS are currently vaccinated for rabies. Please call the clinic to schedule your pet for their yearly exam and vaccine boosters. If you have visited another provider, please email or bring proof of those records.

We require this vaccine to protect our clients, staff, and patients.
Unfortunately, accidental bites can happen at any time when an animal is sick, injured, or nervous.

Rabies is zoonotic, meaning that humans can become infected if they are bitten by a rabid animal.
Fortunately, fewer than 10 people in the U.S. die from rabies each year, a dramatic decline from the 1960, due to robust prevention efforts.
Bats, raccoons, skunks, and foxes continue to pose significant rabies threats to 75% of Americans.

The rumors are true. The microchip company, Save This Life Microchips, that we have used for the past 8 years has suddenly shut down with no prior notice.

Please look into these options we have listed to re-register your pet with a new, reliable company.

AKC Reunite is offering a $5 0ff code until February 15th.

We are so very sorry for the inconvenience, and we will do our best to make contact with all of our clients who have purchased this microchip in the past 8 years.

Save the Date!

Our PetDesk App will be up and running on Monday, February 10th!

We are very excited to have this opportunity to give our clients an easy way to keep track of their pet's information.
This will also be a great way to communicate with our staff. We have a two-way texting currently available. That number will be changing with this new app.

Starting on Monday our NEW texting number will be 605-225-3500. That is also our main number here at the clinic.

Please contact the clinic to update your email so you can use our app! We do want to remind everyone that you do not have to get the app, it is just a great option for our clients to have.

New Years Eve: open 8-12 for medication and food pickup only!! We will be doing our annual inventory and will close at noon for the day!

New Years Day: closed

We will open Thursday, January 2nd normal business hours!

Dog adoption fees have been reduced to $100!
Cat adoption fees have returned to donation based fees! This means that you are welcome to give a monetary donation or else pick up some supplies from the list to help feed our wayward pets, in lieu of the regular adoption fee!

We are full, full, full. There is no room in the Inn. We have closed to cat intakes from the public(still taking in strays via Animal Control). We have fosters waiting to bring their pets back for adoption, but no where for them to go when they get here.

So please put ID on your pets, keep them contained, be responsible for the animals in your care. The easiest way to save a pet right now, is to keep yours.
