This is why she is my personal hero.
Last night I posted another video about the plight of desperate pet parents trying to find affordable life saving care for their pet that they love as family. These aren’t people who did anything wrong. They were passed around from provider to provider because of a system that is so expensive it has become almost useless. If the cost is so high most, (yes MOST), cannot afford it is USELESS. To make the situation worse there are veterinary professionals coming to these posts angry. They are not angry because they don’t also see this problem as a truth, they are angry I am talking about it. No admission of responsibility but rather an angry defensive posture justifying working for and within the community that has built and still supports the problem.
Perhaps they should be angry if that same someone that they work for wouldn’t allow them to help when they have the skills and tools to do so? Perhaps the real problem here is their situational dilemma and not me placing faces in front of the audience who also loves pets like family?
I’m not going away as long as these patients are here. But I will remind everyone that every patient who is here is deserving of compassionate care and that is why every veterinarian went to vet school. It’s time for us to all be reminded of our collective why even if you think I’m the problem. Dr Magnifico
PS next video is production about all of that fancy high tech equipment we all want to brag about that perpetuates only allowing the wealthy class to have pets. If your average client cannot afford your fancy ct scanner you have in your office that too is useless.
