Happy Gotcha Week, Dr. Solomon! Nine years ago, I found him living under a dumpster at a gas station out of state. I kept telling myself you can't save them all. I didn't have any of my rescue equipment with me. I had no way of safely transporting a cat an hour and a half back home. But this cat was different. There was no way to resist him! I had to say hi. The second I opened my mouth and he heard my voice, he literally came *running* and lept into my lap! If ever a cat was meant to be with someone, this cat was meant to be with me. There was no leaving him there, there was no "you can't rescue them all." He was getting rescued that night! I made a deal with him... I said if he sits nicely on my lap all the way home he could stay. And guess what? He did! He cuddled into my lap and stayed there, calmly and peacefully, for an hour and a half ride back home. That was 9 years ago this month. Since then, he earned his doctorate in kitty therapy, and has been the perfect cat in every way. Dr. Solomon is the funniest, most loving cat, who is smart, determined, vocal, friendly, ornery, and so many other wonderful things. Whoever dumped him lost out on the world's most amazing cat! And who else can say their cat is a doctor? Lol! So I'm honored and proud to say HAPPY GOTCHA DAY, WEEK, MONTH to my BollyBoy, my sweet kitty, our family therapist, DR. SOLOMON!

Ps. I did leave my information with the employees of the gas station in case someone was actually looking for him. They informed me he had been dumped there months ago, but I still insisted on leaving that information there. I also posted him as a found stray. After a week of not being claimed, we decided he was our cat now, he was part of our family and has been ever since.
