K9 Foundation students are rocking it! Several of our students had a successful weekend at the Moore County Kennel Club scentwork trial last weekend and several students were successful at the rally trial at Cape Fear this weekend. We are so proud to be a part of your amazing accomplishment!

Great work everyone!!!! Go team K9 Foundation!!!

What a turn around!

Benny came into his first class a certified jumping, barking wild man—all energy and enthusiasm with no brakes or control. Oh boy!

Now look at him! Walking through a busy store dragging his leash and staying so focused and under control. He has come so far with such a dedicated owner who is putting in the work to make sure this boy is the best boy he can be. ❤️

We are thrilled to be part of Benny’s success!

Will you and you pup be our next success story? Contact us to get started! K9Foundation.net

Last Friday Lynn and Peanut were honored to be chosen as the guest speakers for the Moore County Pet Responsibility Vass-Lakeview Assembly. We spoke about the importance of training and how trained pets are better pets. The kids were wonderful and learned so much from the program. It was so impressive to see!

Moore County Pet Responsibility is a volunteer based program that goes into local 4th grade schools and teaches the kids about pet responsibility. It is a proactive program (a K9 Foundation favorite!) that focuses on the long term goal of lowering the pet overpopulation problem locally and keeping pets out of shelters and rescues by advocating for training, spay and neutering and mindful pet choices. If you are interesting in learning more, donating or getting involved, please reach out to Lynn or Kathy so we can get you in contact with them.

Lily is learning to do nothing. That is right. Nothing. You see, Lily is a busy girl—very busy—and wants to be moving all the time. This week we are focusing on teaching Lily to do nothing. No ball, no training, no running, just nothing. Why? Because it helps calm her down and teach her that not moving all the time is ok! Plus, she is aspiring to be a therapy dog so teaching calm as a default will help make her a super star therapy dog!

Good girl Lily!
