We did it !
Hard times and circumstances produce strong people. Strong people carry the victories and admiration of others for their country. Such a strong person has become every child of our team who came to the Junior Open International Agility Competition 2022. Everyone who was able to go to the start and fully enjoy the run, the team and the atmosphere of the competition attracted a ton of admiration from our colleagues (not competitors, that is colleagues) from all over the world. Thank you to each of the athletes for the courage, the energy and strength you have spent on this ride, I am charged with endless positivity from you and am filled with each of your smiles.
International support is needed at this time for all of us, it is important for all of us to see that we have not forgotten that war, if it has stopped being on the front pages of newspapers, it has not disappeared from the front pages of people's minds. We felt such support during the competition preparations, upon arrival to the venue and with the first step at the opening ceremony. All the stands exploded with applause and welcome screams, all the stands stood when the Ukrainian national team carried their flags during the march of the participating countries. It was our friends abroad who helped children have more happy and positive moments, which are so needed in our difficult times. Thank you for organizing the competition Mrs. Tiina-Liisa Vehkalahti and Finnish Agility Association, you did a titanic job thanks to which our children were able to reboot and return for 3 days to their child-free life, which they rightfully deserve folks marriage.
Our children (repeat) despite all odds were able to enter their launches, although in the breaks between starts they (and our adults too) could have been scared of loud sounds, from flying airplanes. War inflicts scars that are very difficult to heal. War also carries the desire to win. Decent starts, master runs and just as worthy withdrawals, it is interesting that in our sport even going from a distance can be beautiful.
The competition ended with brand new achievements for the Ukrainian world of agility. For the first time we have the first place in an international competition. Molčanova Erica Maria and miniature poodle Motek enchanted all the spectators of the U19 Small Jumping category ring and quickly and technically reached the finish line.
Also our two Go Forward Ukraine teams (small category, 27 teams) and international team JOAWC8 team (medium category, 18 teams) entered the top 10 teams in their categories sitting 7 and 6th place respectively.
Way to go juniors! More to come!
But it wouldn't be possible without the help of our friends and sponsors. Our team thanks every Ukrainian who sent us funds, every 100 and 50 UAH were really important and contributed to our common cause, also a lot helped and friends from abroad who sent money to paypal, thank you for your position and add help the juniors.
A large part of the cost of the trip helped us cover our partner Royal Canin Ukraine with the assistance of the Kinological Union of Ukraine.
Also a great help along the way and the cost compensation was the joint business of Finnish athletes with athletes from all over the world, this wouldn't have happened if not for the concern of our friends at the Finnish Agility Association and Ukrainan juniorit Suomeen 14-17.7.2022 , you did it anything is possible!
I personally thank our coaches Oksana Dzhura and Larisa Borysenko your help in working with the team is very important
behind the scenes but she is just as important for the contribution of the children themselves to the happy moments of this trip
Our unofficial (unfortunately) but no less important trainer Dana Riezanova Thank you for such a heavy dog transportation for our Dasha Shestak and for helping in warm-ups not only athletes from Chernihiv but also the whole national team, was always online and showed our fans emotional and live footage from our trip to Live from the stream.
A separate reminder and huge thanks goes to Anna Kalinina who drove as a vet and became team manager (looked at teams from USA). You are my true friend and partner in this journey. Thanks to you so I could not worry about our stops on the road. So to speak with you can and workbooks pick up and take our rascals to the disco and well VERY delicate explain to the lady who was selling ferry tickets that we need them right here and now and we can't wait.
My personal thanks for the experience and help in preparing for this competition goes to Людмила Була and Дарья Судакова Without this help, I would be helpless and uneducated in organizing such a large scale event. Thank you for the guidance and experience even despite the distance from our team at the competition.
Despite all the happy moments of the journey, we could not forget the hell in which the war, the Russian Federation and the Russian people plunge us. Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Chuguiv, occupied cities and cities that every day suffer from shelling, our thoughts even through the positive and atmosphere of competition were with native Ukraine. We are grateful to every soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, every volunteer and every person who puts their best and where their lives to bring our victory closer, the people who hold the front line from the pressure of the Moscow horde are our personal superheroes. Thank You!
Glory to Ukraine!
