Journey of Love - Together We Rescue Journey of Love is a 501(c)(3) a non-profit animal rescue organization. There are thousands of dogs just waiting for their " Journey of Love" to happen.

Our mission is to provide unwanted street dogs and abandoned pets a second chance in life. And there is no greater gift than providing an unwanted animal a place to call home. Please open your hearts and your home to a Taiwanese rescue dog today, otherwise known as a Formosan Mountain Dog. We will help with all the paperwork and guide you through the adoption process. We also provide full health checks and vet clearance records before any dog is placed in their new home.

This was Marcus a few months ago when he was found wandering on rural road in Taichung, Taiwan. He was alone, helpless and terrified.

Our rescue partner just couldn't leave him there so she scooped him up and brought him home.

For months, our rescue partner tried to find a good family to adopt Marcus with no luck.

Marcus is 6 month old now, 25 lbs and up to date on all shots.

6/30/2021 - After 15 hours flying across the Pacific Ocean, from the rural streets of Taiwan, Kasoku has arrived safely in Chicago!! Welcome to USA! We are so happy to see you! 🥰

Kasoku's story ---

Kasoku was born as a stray puppy, he had 4 siblings. Life was very difficult for them living on the streets unwanted and very dangerous with no shelter to protect them. When our rescue partner saw a post on FB about these 5 puppies in 11/2020 and went to rescue them, there were only 2 puppies left. She found one puppy lying on the ground who had died from poisoning and 2 were missing (Yes, sadly in Taiwan local people would poison stray dogs deliberately and stray puppies often end up as meals for foreign construction workers.)

Our rescue partner immediately took the 2 puppies home and gave them the loving care they greatly needed. She named them BanBan and Kasoku. In 12/2020, Kasoku was adopted by a family. The family did take good care of Kasoku, we thought he had found his forever home.

A few months ago, Kasoku's family contacted our rescue partner and wanted to return Kasoku!! The reason -- "Kasoku is too friendly, he doesn't like to bark." What a ridiculous reason!! And so heartbreaking for Kasoku. He didn't know why his family didn't want him anymore...

Can you help Kasoku find a family where he can be truly loved forever? He has went through so much... he deserves a happy ending.

Elli was rescued from the government pound in Taichung, Taiwan. We don't know much about her life before ending up in the pound.

A few months ago, our rescued partner received a message on her phone. The message was from a stranger who said that a stray was in her house and she demanded our rescue partner to come get the dog or she would call the animal control to come get the dog. When our rescue partner called back, she found out that the dog was already in the pound. She felt so sad and decided to get the dog out of the pound. She named her Elli and reached out to us. Together we hope Elli can have a second chance for a forever home.

Elli is 2 years old, 28 lbs, spayed, up to date on all shots. She is sweet, friendly, great with kids and other dogs. If you would like to know more about Elli, please send us a message. Thank you.

We received this urgent message from a friend in Taiwan. Please share with your friends in NJ.

Chico just arrived in NY last night and escaped when his family opened the crate in the garage. He doesn’t know his way home. We need your help to find Chico.

Chico and his siblings were born and rescued from a construction site where there were foreign workers who eat dogs. Our friend found him a home in NJ and Chico flew to NY last night. Now he’s lost. He has never lived on the streets and has no survival skills like strays. Please share and call Sam 917-369-0985 with any sightings of him. Thank you.

Hi my name is WaWa, I am a 2 year old Formosan mix who is in search of my forever family and home.

I was living in an orchard with my puppies, the owner tied us to trees and told us to guard the orchard. He fed us spoiled leftovers and our water bowls were filled with dirt. One day, a very nice lady came to the orchard, she was very sad to see us living in the cruel, dirty and inhumane conditions, so she talked to the owner and rescued us.

My foster mom says that I am a very good girl. I love playing with my foster siblings and enjoy the daily walk. I can't wait to meet my forever people. Is that you?

Apple was dumped to the mountains in Taiwan when she was still a puppy. She was alone and didn't know where or how to find food.

When our rescue partner rescued her last year, she was so skinny. She was about 4 months old at that time, the harsh life didn't stop her from showing her affection and trust.

Our rescue partner found her a home in Taiwan, however Apple's life was far from happiness. When our rescue partner did the post adoption home visit, she found Apple was tied on a short leash and living outside alone. She took Apple back immediately and found another family to adopt Apple.

A few months later, the rescue partner found out that the 2 other dogs that were adopted by Apple's family were gone (one died from drowning, one missing). Our rescue partner again rushed to get Apple out of the harm's way and asked for our help to find a loving home for Apple

On 5/27/2021, Apple flew to New York. Her family drove 4 hours to the airport to bring her home.

Hollie is a gorgeous 1 year old black female Formosan Mountain Dog Mix, & let me tell you... we just LOVE our black doggies!!

Our rescue partner was heading to rescue another dog and on her way there she found Hollie laying in the middle of the main road. Her back paw seemed to be hurt. The rescuer picked her up loaded her onto the scooter & off to the vet they went.

It turned out that Hollie was fine, but she was just too friendly to place her back to the streets. It isn’t safe for a friendly dog to be on the streets in Taiwan.

Hollie weighs 51 pounds. This happy girl is friendly with dogs & walks good on a leash. She doesn’t like to be tied up though. She will chew through a leash to keep from being tied up. That is how she became a stray to begin with. It’s sad that her family didn’t want her any longer. Can you be the loving home that Hollie deserves.
