為了強化國內動保組織，使寵物能夠獲得如同人類的專業服務與機會，我們體察飼主在飼養上的困境與問題，藉此反映同伴動物的各項需求，並試圖透過該體察進一步尋求弱勢寵物的潛力及機會。並透過實地訪談深入了解飼主與寵物的需求現況，發現屏東尚未有提供專業服務予老、病、殘流浪寵物的團體，亦無特別處理同伴動物臨終議題的單位，為同步增進弱勢寵物與飼主福祉，提升生命的價值與尊嚴。
