Minister of Trade and Industry, Senator the Honorable Paula Gopee-Scoon, meets High Commissioner of Jamaica, Her Excellency Natalie Campbell-Rodriques, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Port of Spain.
Her Excellency Campbell-Rodriques was appointed as the High Commissioner of Jamaica to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in November 2023.

Minister Gopee-Scoon, in welcoming Her Excellency Campbell-Rodrigues to the Ministry, underscored the rich history of cooperation and partnerships shared by both countries as CARICOM neighbours and expressed her expectation for continued collaboration in areas of mutual interest. The Jamaican High Commissioner shared similar sentiments.

Jamaica has historically been a strong trading partner for Trinidad and Tobago, ranking among its top 50 import sources and top 20 export destinations for the last five years. In 2022, Trinidad and Tobago’s top exports to Jamaica included prepared foods from cereals, non-alcoholic beverages, aerated waters, and chocolate, while top imports included grape wine, margarine, steel containers, and lubricating oils.
