In laying hens🐔, the ingestion of feed contaminated with —particularly those from the #𝘍𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘶𝘮 𝘴𝘱𝘱. genus—leads to a critical loss in feed efficiency and a significant decrease in production.🥚📉
These repercussions directly affect physiological health, manifesting as hematological alterations, changes in plasma biochemistry, and damage to target organs.🎯🩸

At , we conducted a field study to validate the efficacy of BIŌNTE® QUIMITŌX® PLUS in layers challenged by a multi-contaminated diet🛡️. The results confirm its capacity to act as a comprehensive metabolic protector against mycotoxin challenges:
✅ Mitigation of adverse effects: Reduces inflammatory processes and in key organs.
✅ Physiological homeostasis: Restores systemic balance and optimizes nutrient absorption.
✅ Productive performance: Results in higher survival rates and superior marketable egg quality, even under high-challenge conditions.

📣 Last week, during (International Conference on Poultry Intestinal Health), held in , our technical team presented the following scientific posters:

🧪 “The 𝘪𝘯 𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘳𝘰 efficacy of a liquid multi-action solution: Bioactive compounds and antimicrobial activity in the gastrointestinal tract”.
➡️ The results showed that this solution is rich in bioactive compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity, and exhibits strong antimicrobial activity against enteric pathogens, supporting intestinal microbiota balance.

🧪 “𝘐𝘯 𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘳𝘰 immunomodulatory activity of a multi-action liquid solution in an intestinal cell model”.
➡️ The results demonstrated a clear anti-inflammatory effect, with the ability to modulate cytokines in intestinal cells exposed to pathogens.

🌱 These studies, conducted in collaboration with MicroLab Biotech and the Universitat de València - UV, showed that BIŌNTE® QUIMITŌX® LIVŌX®, thanks to its exclusive formulation rich in bioactive polyphenols derived from and extracts, presents antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties, contributing to a fast response through drinking water administration.

Is the an effective defense against ? 🛡️❌

In today’s dairy and beef industry, the rumen's capacity to detoxify mycotoxins is often overestimated. The combination of high-starch diets, the extreme metabolic demands of high-yielding animals, and environmental stressors often trigger SARA. When the rumen pH drops below 6.0, the biological barrier fails :

🔹 Inhibition: Microbial detoxification of deoxynivalenol, nivalenol, and enniatin B is severely compromised. 📉
🔹 Metabolization: Some mycotoxins like fumonisins resist degradation entirely, while others, like zearalenone become even more toxic. ⚠️
🔹 Leaky Gut: This toxic challenge destroys epithelial tight junctions, leading to systemic translocation of pathogens and toxins into the bloodstream. 🦠➡️🩸

Relying only on the rumen is a risk. True protection requires advanced bioprotective strategies for mycotoxin mitigation that provide essential coverage where biological defenses fall short.

🐷 in production
Not all present in feed are included in routine analyses. In particular, modified mycotoxins may not be detected using standard analytical methods.
⚠️ Toxicological evidence in swine suggests that these forms may contribute to the total exposure burden, either through the release of the parent mycotoxin or through potential reconversion during digestive processes, thereby increasing the overall risk to the animal.
🔬 Therefore, in risk assessment within swine production, it is advisable to include these modified forms and to consider the use of biomarkers that help better characterize actual exposure.
