Based in Wok Tum on Koh PhaNgan, PACS provides medical care to the stray, temple and wild animals of the island. We have a dedicated neutering and vaccination program carried out with the help of volunteer vets and vet nurses. PACS provides daily hospital care for many animals who require daily medication, and also out-patient care on "house-call days" where the nurse traverses the island attending to those who need less regular care/treatment.

Poppy’s treatment has taken an unexpected turn, and we’re facing over 13,000 THB in medical costs. From emergency care to surgery, every baht will go toward giving this shy but sweet girl a second chance.

Meet Poppy 🐾

This sweet 7-year-old girl came in with an eye infection but during her sterilization, we discovered she also has pyometra, a serious infection of the uterus. 💔

She’s now on antibiotics and pain relief, recovering gently before we can proceed with the eye removal surgery.

Though she’s still shy and new to us, she’s soaking up the love and showing no signs of aggression. Just a gentle soul in need of care.

Koh Phangan Community - Meet Otto 🐶

Otto is a sweet 2-year-old dog who’s no stranger to us, he was also a patient last year, and this time, he came in with an infected maggot wound. Despite being in so much discomfort, Otto has been the best patient ever. He is super friendly, gentle, and such a joy to have around. 🥹

He’s currently receiving hospital care, wound cleaning, antibiotics, and anti-inflammatories.
The estimated cost for his treatment is around 10,000 THB.

Nemo’s Happy Ending 🐾

From the brink of losing limbs to full recovery — Nemo’s healing journey has been nothing short of a miracle 💛 Thanks to our fantastic volunteer and nurse, Vaness, who gave him the extra love and care he needed, Nemo is now thriving… and gets to keep all his limbs 😆

The best part? Vanessa has fallen head over paws and is officially adopting him into her fur family

Meet Torro, just 7 weeks old, and already fighting harder than most. 🐶💔

Despite battling tick fever and anemia, he greets every hand with a wag and every heart with a cuddle. He needs a month of meds, lots of rest, and even more love. A kind staff member may foster him during his recovery, but Torro still needs a forever home once he heals.

His treatment will cost 7,000 THB. Every little bit helps this brave boy on his road to recovery.

Why PACs Tattoos Dogs’ Ears After Sterilization 🐾

At PACs, we tattoo the ears of sterilized dogs to mark the date and location of their sterilization. This small symbol plays a big role. It confirms they’ve been sterilized, vaccinated, and treated, helping us monitor their health and avoid unnecessary procedures.

:🐶 What’s included during sterilization?

✔️ Rabies vaccine (protects for 3 years)
✔️ Combination vaccine against deadly viruses like distemper, parvo, and leptospirosis
✔️ Parasite treatment for ticks, mange, and internal worms
✔️ Long-acting antibiotics and two kinds of pain relief to ensure safe recovery

🐱 Cats receive the same thorough care with feline-specific vaccines and parasite treatment.

🚨 URGENT WARNING FOR PET OWNERS IN KOH PHANGAN 🚨

We’ve received multiple heartbreaking reports of dogs being poisoned along Baan Tai Beach, specifically from Infinity Beach to Summer Resort. Please be extra cautious when walking your pets in this area and keep a close eye on them at all times. 💔🐾

⚠️ If you notice any of these signs of poisoning, please get your animal to a vet immediately:

Shaking
Stiff legs
Dilated pupils
Seizures
Difficulty breathing
Vomiting/salivating
Pale or blue gums
Agitation or nervousness
Sudden collapse or death

🆘 If your pet shows any of these signs, don’t wait. Seek help urgently. For emergency support, you can reach out to PACs or your nearest vet.

📢 Reminder: Poisoning animals is a CRIMINAL OFFENSE under Thai law and punishable by fines and prison time. This is not only cruel—it is illegal.

Last week, a compassionate member of the public found this tiny kitten in the Maduauan area, in critical condition. She had large infected wounds, with significant skin loss around her paws.

💔 At just 8 weeks old, she’s already been through so much, but she’s a fighter. Thanks to immediate emergency care at our clinic—including wound cleaning, pain relief, antibiotics, and close monitoring—she now has a fighting chance.

💖 She still needs your help!
Her treatment will take about six weeks, and the costs are substantial. Every donation will help cover her medical expenses and give her the best shot at a healthy, pain-free life.

🏡 A forever home needed!
If she pulls through this critical stage, she won’t be able to return to the streets. She deserves a safe, loving home to continue her recovery and live a happy life.
