I rarely ever see people vendor wild bettas where I live but I today I was at a local fare that popped up in my local area and we saw this betta vendor who was displaying a lot of wild hybrids and fancy bettas in these small bottles, the most sad thing about this is that children tend to buy these thinking that they’re simply used for fighting so many will end up being used for this purpose because children do not understand that these should be pets that need the correct environment.
We also saw a fish scooping section where you can get a thin paper net to try and “win” guppies and mollies so we tried our best to get a few to put them into our own pond at home but it was super difficult to catch because the paper net would melt after a few attempts we manage to get a few so they’ll atleast have a better life in our large cement pond.
