Dogs don’t naturally know how to feel safe when left alone. We can’t simply turn our backs and expect them to wait calmly if we’ve never taught them how.

Being comfortable alone is a skill we can build gradually, with patience and positive experiences. Teach your dog to feel secure, even when you’re out of sight, for a calmer, happier life. 🐾

Hide-and-seek is more than a fun game—it helps build recall! 🐶🌳

Outside, there are exciting smells, sounds and distractions. Playing hide-and-seek encourages your dog to check where you are, listen for your call and enjoy coming back to you.

Start with easy hiding spots and reward them with treats, praise or play when they find you. This helps teach: “Coming back to my person is worth it!” ❤️

Keep it fun and achievable—never hide so well that your dog becomes worried. Practise in a secure, enclosed area, or use a long line with a helper for safety.

Little games today help build a more reliable recall tomorrow. 🐾
