ZOEY and her mom, PHOEBE...
A tragic family tale...
Zoey had a very difficult start in life. Her mom, Phoebe was found in very poor health, pregnant, roaming in the natural park. Michael Chour brought her to a foster home to live. But after the puppies were born, a horrible person deliberately stepped on one of the puppies and killed him.
Zoey had been strongly kicked like a football, and injured her.
Michael quickly brought the whole family to our shelter.
Zoey suffered a stroke at the age of 7 months.

Our dogs have not had easy beginnings to their lives. Many suffered for years before being rescued. Heartbreaking, isn't it? No animal should be treated this way.

✨ News from Michael ✨

Michael had his first procedure and everything went well 🙏🏼
However, he has to remain in the hospital for an additional ten days.
A second surgery is scheduled within a month.

He is very tired... and the morale is a bit down at the thought of still having to be patient in the hospital. But it's a necessary harm to hope for a real healing 💪🏼

His heart is with his sweethearts, even from a distance.
And today, more than ever, he needs us all 🧡

🐕 LOUVA was a wild dog living in the jungle. No one could touch her. But, Michael Chour cared for her for many months. One day she showed Michael her 2 puppies. But...
Louva was very sick and needed help. 😥 She had blood parasites, anemia, pyometra (uterine infection) and low platelets. She received all the vet care she needed for herself and her 2 puppies.

🌸 Today, she lives a happy free life with her mate, Sully, at our sanctuary. 🌴

💗 KHROM is an angel with the will to live. He has no sponsor to love him from afar.

😨Khrom was run over by a speeding truck.. it dragged his delicate body ripping the skin off his legs. His spine broke in half and he was covered in bruises and wounds. (November 2023)
His recovery was long... but look at this happy angel now.

🟪🟦🟧🟨 Friends, our blankets have lost the war. They are shredded, beaten, dragged around, drooled on, and attacked. They do not survive this "love".
🩷 The cost to buy one blanket is only $3.
Please help us buy more "love blankets" for our dogs. They each use 2 or 3 every day.

We replace them often because they are loved so much.. and washed even more.

💔❤️ 𝗕𝗘𝗖𝗔𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗪𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘, 𝗪𝗘 𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗘 🐕🍛

Our daily Foodrun is back, and we were so relieved to feed our hungry dogs after many days of waiting.
Then came calls to Panda… So many dogs were left behind, abandoned when people had to leave their homes. They can return on August 4th, but until then, the dogs are desperate for food 🥹.
We couldn’t turn away... We helped, and people came to pick up food bags, a truly heartwarming moment 💞. But now, our food supplies are running low again.
Will you help us feed these poor, hungry souls who have nothing?

❤️‍🩹 Update on Michael

Michael is still hospitalized. He is battling a severe occurrence of Diverticulitis. The doctors are keeping him on high doses of pain medication and antibiotics to help him fight the spasms and pain related to this disease. They are considering surgery.

🙏🏻 We are holding Michael in our hearts. Let's send him strength, love and hope, to help him get through this ordeal.
