🐶 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀!
The higher fences were completed this week at the house with the 18 dogs. The dogs can no longer escape and are now 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀!

It’s still not an ideal situation, though. With so many dogs free roaming, it’s been a challenge for the owner to get in and out of the gate easily. A double-gate system is really needed. There have also been some fights, so the owner is still having to rotate dogs in and out of cages often.

At least they now have more space, thanks to the two large extra cages we added. The cages are no longer overcrowded, and the dogs are finally getting some exercise and stimulation. 🐕

⚠️ All of these dogs and puppies still need homes. The owner will be moving eventually and cannot take any of them with him.

รั้วสูงรอบบ้านที่มีสุนัข 18 ตัวเสร็จเรียบร้อยแล้วในสัปดาห์นี้ — ตอนนี้สุนัขทั้งหมดได้ออกจากกรงและไม่ต้องถูกล่ามโซ่อีกต่อไปแล้ว! 🎉

แต่สถานการณ์ก็ยังไม่สมบูรณ์แบบนัก เพราะการที่มีสุนัขจำนวนมากเดินเพ่นพ่านอิสระ ทำให้เจ้าของบ้านลำบากมากในการเข้า-ออกประตูบ้าน
จริง ๆ แล้วควรมี ประตูสองชั้น (double gate) เพื่อความปลอดภัย
นอกจากนี้ยังมีปัญหาสุนัขบางตัวทะเลาะกันด้วย ทำให้เจ้าของต้องสลับนำสุนัขเข้าออกกรงอยู่ตลอดเวลา

อย่างน้อยตอนนี้พวกเขาก็มีพื้นที่มากขึ้น จากกรงขนาดใหญ่ 2 ใบที่เราได้นำมาเสริม และกรงก็ไม่แออัดเหมือนก่อน

After exactly 30 days in hospital, our sweet Moo Moo is finally back home with us at LCA. The smile on his face says it all! He’s so relieved to have his freedom again and to be reunited with all his friends. 🥰❤️

Moo was hospitalized for a hind leg amputation. Unfortunately, some health concerns delayed his surgery and extended his stay.

🙏 Thank you to the kind donors who have contributed to Moo's medical expenses.

🌈 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲, 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗯𝗼𝘄 🐾💔

Our beloved shelter dog Rainbow passed away early this morning. She has been with us at LCA for the past 5 years. She was always gentle, quiet, and deeply loved.

Earlier this year, Rainbow began to face serious health issues: a large mass on her shoulder, a blood parasite infection, and later, neurological problems. She underwent surgery to remove the mass and responded well to treatment, even gaining strength and weight again.

But her condition suddenly worsened yesterday. Vets suspected a brain lesion, and her blood results showed low potassium, so she was admitted overnight for treatment, with the hope that she would bounce back again. But this time, her body couldn’t keep going. Early this morning, she gently slipped away. We believe the suspected brain tumor was the cause. 😞

Rainbow faced everything with quiet strength. We’ll miss her deeply, but we’re grateful she knew love and care until the end.

Mangkut is still doing amazing in her foster home, patiently waiting for her furever family. 🏠💕

She came to us at LCA 4 years ago alongside Durian, who was recently adopted. We’re not sure if they’re siblings, but they share the same sweet, calm, and gentle personality. Just like Durian, Mangkut is easygoing and affectionate. A total sweetheart. 💗👌

This lovely girl would fit beautifully into just about any home. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, loves to play, and is gentle with people, including kids. If you already have a dog, she’d make a fantastic playmate and loyal friend.

We’d like to thank everyone who kindly offered to help walk the caged and chained dogs. We decided to postpone the previously mentioned weekend walks to give us time to better understand the dogs first and ensure everyone’s safety. These dogs have been confined for so long. They’re not leash trained and not used to strangers, or new environments.

Yesterday, our team members Teresa and Amanda visited the dogs. They vaccinated and dewormed the four young puppies, and gave flea/tick preventative to several of the adult dogs. Some dogs were able to come out of the cages on leashes, and they spent time getting to know their personalities. A few of the smaller dogs also enjoyed a short break outside, and one of the chained dogs, Mee, had a little moment of freedom. They all enjoyed some special treats too!

Despite what they’ve been through, these dogs are adoptable. They just need time, patience, and understanding. 💛

🐶 And the puppies? Absolutely adorable.

Today we take a moment to honor and remember the beloved animals who are no longer with us. Whether they were cherished family pets or precious souls we cared for at the shelter, their pawprints remain forever in our hearts. 🐾💕

We remember the loyal companions, the gentle fighters, the shy ones who learned to trust, and the spirited ones who made us laugh. Every life mattered. Every goodbye was hard.

💛 To everyone who has loved and lost a pet, we see you, we grieve with you, and we celebrate the love that never truly leaves.

ทางมูลนิธิพึ่งพบสถานการณ์ที่น่าใจสลาย มีชายคนหนึ่งเลี้ยงสุนัข 18 ตัวไว้ในบ้านของตนเองในสภาพที่น่าเวทนา
11 ตัวถูกขังรวมกันอยู่ในกรงเล็กเพียง 2 กรง กรงละ 5 และ 6 ตัว โดยอยู่แบบนี้มานานกว่า 3–4 ปี
อีก 2 ตัวถูกล่ามไว้ด้วยโซ่สั้น ๆ

🚨 𝗨𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗨𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗘: 𝟭𝟴 𝗗𝗢𝗚𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣 🚨

We’ve just discovered a heartbreaking situation. A man is keeping 18 dogs at his home in distressing conditions. 11 of them crammed into just two small cages, with 5 and 6 dogs in each, for the past 3-4 years. Two others are chained on short leashes. Only one dog, a lovely, friendly mother, roams freely with her 4 playful, 6 week old puppies.

Why are they living like this? These dogs kept escaping over the low height fences and causing trouble with the neighbors. Their owner started with just a few dogs, but the population escalated. Although all, except the mother and puppies, are now sterilised, this is no life for any dog. The man is doing his best, but he’s overwhelmed. He has to move soon to care for his elderly mother and can’t take any dogs with him.

💔 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 - 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆!

📢 We are calling for:

Adopters ~ even one dog helps.

People with farms, orchards or large spaces. If you could take a few, it would be amazing.

Rescue groups, shelters or boarding facilities that can assist or take just one or two... if possible.

🐶 There are some absolute beauties. All types, sizes, and temperaments. They appear in decent health, though the pups had ticks (we’ve already treated them and will return soon to vaccinate and deworm).

🙏 We’re doing all we can, but we can’t do this alone. Please help us set them free. Give them the life of freedom they deserve.

🐕🚶‍♀️🚶This weekend, we’ll return to walk the caged and chained dogs to give them a break and some relief. We’ll need some extra hands to help! Please stay tuned for a follow-up post with the details.
