SEF supports animal welfare projects in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, India, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka, rescuing elephants and other animals in need, promoting ethical tourism, and working with communities to improve welfare standards. In addition to providing a safe home for our rescued elephants at Elephant Nature Park, we offer support, advice, office-based resources, and funding to all of the proje

cts under the Foundation's umbrella. It is our mission to save the Asian elephant from extinction and give domesticated elephants a life worth living by preserving habitat and increasing public awareness on humane treatment practices. In carrying out this mission, we ensure that the best interests of the elephants within our flagship, Elephant Nature Park, are maintained and that their short- and long-term needs are met. We endeavor to extend this same support to the people and elephants within the Jumbo Express project and other outreach projects.

Hom Nuan went swimming, but her two elephant friends, Aung Kham and Rattana Kham, refused to join her.
So, she used her soprano trumpeting to get their attention-calling out with joy, letting them know how much fun she was having, and inviting them to join her in the water.💦🐘

8 สิงหาคม – วันแมวโลก 🐱🌍

วันแมวสากลถูกกำหนดขึ้นเพื่อกระตุ้นให้เราตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของแมว และเรียนรู้การช่วยเหลือและปกป้องแมว โดยเฉพาะแมวที่ถูกทอดทิ้งจากเจ้าของ

ปัจจุบัน จำนวนแมวจรจัดและแมวถูกทิ้งยังไม่ลดลง 💔 ทางเราหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าสักวันหนึ่ง ทุกชีวิตขนปุยจะได้รับความรัก และการดูแลอย่างที่พวกเขาสมควรได้รับ

Sadly, the number of stray and abandoned cats around the world continues to rise. 💔 Our hope is that one day, every cat will have a safe home, a full belly, and the love they deserve.

While Mom and her nanny wandered off for a stroll and some foraging, Little Jun decided to take the weight off and relax.

She tossed earth over her body, then placed a bit in her mouth — a simple, instinctive act with surprising purpose.
Eating dirt is actually an intelligent behavior in elephants. It helps supplement essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, and especially salt — nutrients that may be lacking in their regular diet.

Vana has a disability in her left hind leg, while Dao Thong has one in her right.
Despite their physical challenges, their hearts are full of happiness, and they still love to play ball together with joy and enthusiasm.

Their spirit reminds us that strength comes in many forms.

Now living in a safe haven, surrounded by a loving elephant family, Baitoey feels confident and truly at home — free to relax, explore, and be her playful self.

Every elephant we rescue carries a unique story of their journey. They cannot speak, but their physical condition and emotional state reflect the hardships they have endured. 🐘

Mai Thai was rescued from an elephant riding camp in Southern Thailand during the COVID-19 pandemic. She arrived with numerous health issues, showing signs of aging such as bone disease, digestive problems, and emotional distress.

Thanks to the dedicated care from our veterinary team and the loving companionship of a new herd, Mai Thai found the strength to keep going.

When her herd welcomed Nam Thip into their family, all the grandmother elephants, including Mai Thai, were happier than ever. Nam Thip brought joy and renewed purpose, especially to Mai Thai, who became her nanny and playmate.

From being a weary grandmother, Mai Thai transformed into a cheerful and lively elephant—sometimes playing so joyfully that she seemed to forget her age. After years of hard labor, she now lives freely, never needing to work again.

Starting a new life is never too late for anyone who still holds onto hope. If you’re feeling discouraged, may Mai Thai’s story remind you that healing and happiness are always possible.

เมื่อโขลงของเธอได้รับน้ำทิพย์มาอยู่ด้วย ทำให้คุณยายช้างทั้งหลายมีความสุขมากกว่าเดิมน้ำทิพย์ทำให้พวกเขามีความสุขและความหวังโดยเฉพาะไหมไทย เธอกลายเป็นพี่เลี้ยงที่ทำหน้าที่เป็นเพื่อนเล่นให้กับน้ำทิพย์ จากคุณยายกลายเป็นช้างร่าเริงและบางครั้งเธอเล่นจนลืมวัยตัวเอง และนี่คือชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ของไหมไทย หลังจากที่เธอต้องทำงานหนักมาอย่างยาว ชีวิตในวันนี้ของเธอไม่ต้องกลับไปทำงานอีกต่อไป

คำว่าเริ่มต้นชีวิตใหม่ไม่มีคำว่าสายเกินไปสำหรับใครก็ตามที่ยังไม่หมดหวังที่จะเดินไปข้างหน้า ขอให้กำลังใจกับทุกๆท่านที่กำลังท้อแท้ จงมองชีวิตของไหมไทยเป็นตัวอย่างนะคะ
