🐾 Low's Story 🐾

❗PLEASE take the time to read the story about one of our dogs we rescued. His story is one of survival, resilience, and second chances.

👇🏻This is the story of Low.👇🏻

🔸Low was a senior street dog who was found living on the corner of a small soi (street) next to a fairly busy road in Thailand, just outside of Bangkok. When he was discovered, his body clearly told the story of many hard years living on the streets. It was visibly clear that he was suffering with severe malnutrition, his body was extremely skinny, he looked weak, and also he had a skin condition that had caused much of his fur to fall out, with painful sores on parts of his skin.

🔸Low had only three legs, he was missing one of his front legs, which we later found out by some locals that his leg had been amputated as the result of an accident by a car from when he was a young dog. Despite adapting to life with his disability, the streets were never kind to him. Years of survival left him fragile, both physically and emotionally.
🔸His spirit was tired, and it was clear when you looked into his eyes that his soul had been broken by neglect, suffering and hardship. For most of his life, Low had known only hunger, pain, suffering and loneliness. He had never experienced actual love or genuine kindness from humans, only the need to survive and keep going, day after day, against all odds.

🔸Some locals were asked if they knew any information about Low and how he ended up on the streets. The locals knew very little, and it was unclear how he ended up there, but they only knew Low had been living in that area for about 10 years and they gave him the name Low.
🔸Everything changed when Low was discovered by John, co-founder of the guardians of Thailand Street Dogs. For the first time, Low received proper care, nutritious food, compassion and a sense of safety. After months of hard work visiting Low and providing proper nutritional food, medical care by washing him with medical shampoo and giving him medicine to treat his skin condition, his personality started to show.
🔸Low's life took a beautiful turn, especially when he was later adopted by the other co-founder of Guardians of Thailand Street Dogs, Ms. Cee
She gave Low something he had never known before: Compassion, unconditional love, care and a real home.
🔸10 years Low and slept outside on a dirty, hard concrete floor, having to deal with Thailand's hot climate and monsoon seasons with no real comfort month after months, year after year. Ms. Cee provided Low a proper bed, something he never had before, a warm, soft, comfortable and safe place to sleep. The feeling of something soft must have been so strange for him at first, but his reaction was priceless, it was clear that Low was so happy and comfortable lying in a real bed.

🔸After some time, sadly, due to his old age and frail condition, Low became sick with pneumonia and he never fully recovered. He sadly passed away. But he wasn't alone on the streets and he was loved. In his final days, Low experienced something he had never known before—the feeling of comfort, care, safety, love and a home.
🔸Low’s life was filled with struggle, but his ending was filled with kindness and love. His story is a reminder that even the most broken souls deserve love, care and compassion, even when it comes late, it still matters.

🐾 "Though Low's body was fragile, weak and painful and his life was full of suffering, hardship and survival, he finally found comfort, love, dignity, and peace. Even with senior dogs with years of hardship and suffering... it's never too late to give them a second chance by providing care, compassion, kindness and love, which will change their life." "By helping one street dog won't change the world... but it will change that one dog's world" 🐾

THE END

🆘 URGENT CASE 🆘 Dog stuck in bitumen and needs treatment.

🆘 Urgent Appeal for help🆘
This poor dog didn't give up on life.
—Stray dog reported to be stuck in bitumen for almost a week, lying unable to move and exhausted. Please help immediately!

"Nong Teung," a male stray dog, approximately 7 years old, received emergency rescue from an animal rescue team in Satun province after being found in a totally heartbreaking condition. He was barely breathing, stuck tightly in bitumen (or known as asphalt or tar). Half of his body and all four legs were submerged in the tar, with just his head sticking out, allowing him to breathe.

According to the information received, the dog had been stuck like this for approximately 5-6 days, without any help or attention from anyone, left to slowly await death until someone discovered him.

The animal rescue team struggled for a couple of hours carefully trying to pull him free out of the bitumen.
He has a number of injuries on his body and he is extremely weak, due to hunger and dehydration.
Nong Teung desperately needs urgent medical treatment. Most veterinarian treatments are expensive. Your valuable kindness and compassion will give injured and neglected animals like him the chance to get treatment that they need and help have a better life.
