Koh Koh Pups is a dedicated non profit dog rescue operating on the island of Koh Tao, Thailand.

Perhaps some of you will remember Walter, Nancy and Elf who were adopted last year. Today they celebrated their 1st year anniversary of arriving at their forever homes in England.

Walter and Nancy (short legged bro & sis double act) met up with Elf to mark the special occasion. They ran, they sniffed and they had special dog cookies made for an extra treat 😉

We were so thrilled when we learned that Walter, Nancy and Elf were being offered wonderful forever homes and glad they’ve flourished in their new lives and can still meet up as old Koh Koh Pups pals. All credit to their wonderful adopters who have given them such wonderful lives 💕

We love when past adopters tag us, share stories and let us know how well they’re doing so if anyone wants to share updates with us please do so, we are always so happy to hear from you 😊

So we certainly suspected it but DNA has now confirmed that Maggie is actually a relative of her new brother Blanco. It’s 6% so they’re relatives in the way that we would be to our first and second cousins. They vertically do look like they would be family. We think perhaps Maggie sensed something in Lauren her adopter, maybe she could just sense it. She was family all along. And she’s settling in to her new life in USA amazingly 🤩

And the story gets even more fun as another dog that was adopted to America 4 years ago is an even closer relative at 11% but you would never think it to look at the two of them. Maggie is long legged, white and wiry haired and Jaster (formerly Coco) is short legged, brown and short haired. How they seem to have a larger % match up than the other two confuses me 🤣

I imagine there are quite a few of the dogs that we have had adopted around the world over the last 5 years and beyond that will be related. Think it might be a good idea to get on the case a track down all our related buddies 😉

This sweet little darling is looking for a home as soon as possible. She is 3 months old and very soft and sweet. She’s a little shy but is always warming out to us and wags her tail when we approach and give her cuddles. She will grow to be a small medium we suspect based on the size of her month and her development so far. Please get in contact if you would like any more information about her.

🎉 ADOPTED! 🎉

From jungle survivor to loved family member — our little warrior Aubrey has found her forever home! 🐾💛

When we first met Aubrey, she was an injured pup fighting to survive at a viewpoint in the jungle. Scared and screaming in pain from her injuries, we knew we had to step in! With lots of love, care, and belly rubs, she transformed into the bright, playful, and affectionate girl we knew she could be.

She is now off to start her new life with the most wonderful couple right here on the island! 🌴🏡

We’re beyond grateful to have been part of her journey. From the depths of the jungle to the warmth of a loving home, this is what rescue is all about. 💫

Go live your best life, Aubrey! You’ll always have a piece of our hearts. ❤️🐶

Little Aubrey is looking for a home!!!

Here’s why we think she’s perfect....
* She’s arguably one of the cutest Koh Koh Pups EVER
*She’s insanely smart and learns new skills very fast
*She walks well on the leash and has fantastic recall
*She can already ride on the bike
*She’s learnt to sit quietly under the table in cafes
*She’s house-trained (waits by the door when she needs to go out)

Aubrey is around 5 months old, she’s neutered, and vaccinated. She is SO full of love and is genuinely an awesome puppy.

He was found in one of our traps that we had set at the dump. Our intention was to catch a female on heat that night but instead someone brought their dog to the dump and abandoned him there. Luckily for him he climbed into the trap and little did he know that his life was going to change for the better.

We took him into the care of Koh Koh Pups and quickly realized what an absolute gorgeous boy he was. We called him Goldie due to his luscious locks and winning personality. We put him up for adoption and thankfully he caught the eye of a woman living in Canada.

All his paperwork was in order, flight arranged and we were ready to travel on the boat that night but we got a call at 11am telling us that a big storm was on the way and the nightboat was leaving at midday to avoid it. What a mad rush to get everything in order and get down to the pier in time. We arrived just as the boat was untying the ropes getting ready to leave. We said our quick goodbyes and off he went to start his new journey in Canada.

Goldie is now called Goose and it makes our hearts burst with joy to see how happy he is, how much his life has changed. A dog dumped to a golden boy.

It was moving day. Well at least for one cage it was. The construction of another place to house the dogs safely has been underway the last month and we were finally ready to move.

Lots of volunteers turned up and brought their friends with them too. Lots of hands make light work and we are very appreciative of their help and support.

Tomorrow we decide which pups will move into the new enclosure 🤔

What a BABE!

Betsy loves swimming and dunked herself several times in her little swimming pool today. She’s a water baby now.

I’ve been trying to get the koh koh pups to use the various pools I’ve provided for them over the years and FINALLY this fluffy litter are fully appreciating it. Bobbi loves a swim and put her whole face under the water and Bear just stands with his front paws in looking a bit confused really 😆

Bobbie is currently trying out the foster family life and Betsy will be joining her soon so she can build her confidence on the lead walking and in different environments. We are determined to get them as ready as possible for adoption and living a carefree life with a loving family.

Walter and Nancy took a little trip to the Animal Clinic today to get their blood tests because - they’ve been ADOPTED!

They will both travel together to a lovely couple in London and be the talk of the dog park I’m sure with their ever so cute personalities! They’re beautifully unique little dogs with their little stumpy leg/long body combo and are just the perfect little package. So so happy for them both.

That will be all 6 of that litter adopted now. That just leaves mummy Rhonda waiting for her chance. She’s raised 6 wonderfully sweet dogs so I hope someone will be the right match for her soon.
