People all over the world are recognising the damage being done to nature.

Did you know that there is currently no legal penalty for this? But there is a group of international lawyers working to change this by making ecocide a crime.

You can help too! Sign and share the international petition and add your voice to millions of other who want to protect nature for future generations.

This cute little film is a wonderful animation of how growing many types of plants naturally creates a stronger ecosystem, in this case on a farm.
Stronger in many ways by increasing;
the health of the plants
the health of the farmer
the health of the soil grows more produce
the types of produce sold at market (reducing the impact of market prices changing
the families' self reliance. If the market collapses completely the farmer can eat from their garden as it provides a balanced diet.

Integrative farming is a whole system design.
It looks at the connections between all things and changes activities, plants and habits so they all support each other in many ways. We see this in an ecosystem web like a forest or coral reef.

Permaculture is a modern word for a collection of knowledge based around the return to living in balance with nature. Learned from indiginous communities all over the planet, it is not new, in fact it is very very old. In Thailand we can look to our grandparents lives and learn from them.

The insulation on our oven is straw lightly dipped in clay. This traps air which creates a super insulating layer.
This is left to dry for a day or so, then we massage clay slip onto the straw to create a good base for the plaster to stick to. At this stage it looks like a crazy birds nest!

Here at Din dee farm we have many tools we use. One of these tools is permaculture, and we wanted to share a little about what that is.

'Perma' means permanent, something intended to last forever. 'Culture' is used here to describe the systems humans use to support themselves. So permaculture aims to create systems that, once established, will continue to function forever and support human life.

To hear from the grandfathers of permaculture themselves in this short video!

A short film narrated by Bill Mollison and David Homgren reveals how Permaculture began from one simple question about agriculture and developing into a sust...
