Sleeping babies full tummies, nice warm heating blanket and tons of pets and kisses.
Sadly one of the babies passed away probably due to genetic/developmental issues which might have been caused by the inexperienced hen sitting on the eggs during first halve of the incubation.
Rest seem to be doing ok, 1 baby is little slower or there might be issue with eye but my observation might not be correct, so I am adding little vitamin booster just in case. Fingers crossed they will grow and prosper

Babies update - we have 5 healthy quail babies 🥹😍🥰🎉 they are very active already and started pecking few hours after hatching. Looks like we will have some interesting colours too.
This time we went with pasta names to honour our sassy superstar Pasta (Hastala Basta the biggest Gangsta) who was taken away from us too soon.
From oldest to youngest we have: Tortellini (tiniest one from smallest egg and most active and curious) will be probably pansy, Lasagna (biggest one from biggest egg, seems like tuxedo with silver-blue tones?), Spaghetti (wiggly baby with long neck, lighter coloured tuxedo), Fusilli (darker tuxedo, made backflip in first 5 mins alive after hatching), Gnocchi (only white baby, last one to hatch, calm and quiet one)

Guysss! We have babies hatching!!! Such a miracle 🥹 we gave few eggs to our kochin hen who went broody. But as it is usually with first time broody hens, she was doing terrible job scattering the eggs around and we found 1 egg broken with embryo in it 🥺 I was heartbroken so I took the rest of the eggs and candled them found 6 with babies inside so I put them into incubator. And look what a surprise today morning! Fingers crossed and prayers please that they will be ok because our young hen didn't know how to sit on them properly so they probably went cold sometime during the time she sat on them.

🤍Sugar🤍 one of our youngest quail babies raised by Bambulka. She still has few yellow spots on her face showing that she is still a baby but growing into beautiful girl with multiple dark spots on her white feathers which have lovely colour contrast

Hi Quail fam! Is there any specific topic, educational video or guide you wou like me to make for you?
I am playing with an idea to start collecting these topics into a separate folder easier to be found for new quail owners or advice for anyone seeking it, some kind of owner manual :)
