The long awaited KFC recipe for your 🐶🐱 is here! With just 3 simple ingredients, you can recreate this treat at home like me too!
A little backstory: This KFC drumstick was among the first treats I introduced during the early days of Ola’s Favourites’ Omakase series, back in 2018–2019. Back then, the Omakase was a spontaneous offering—I’d prepare and sell them whenever inspiration struck. Now that I’m no longer doing monthly Omakase, it feels like the right moment to share this beloved recipe with you all.
Ola’s Signature Pet-Friendly “KFC”
Ingredients:
Chicken drumsticks (as needed), 1 egg, pet-friendly meat floss (can blend their regular brand of chicken or pork jerky into fine bits too!)
Instructions:
1 Remove the skin from the chicken drumsticks.
2. Bake at 180ºC for 30 minutes, or air fry at 150ºC for 15–20 minutes until fully cooked.
3. Let the drumsticks rest for a few minutes.
4. Whisk the egg in a bowl.
5. Dip each drumstick into the beaten egg, then roll in the meat floss until fully coated. Repeat 3 times.
6. Bake again at 180ºC for 6–8 minutes, or air fry at 150ºC for 3–5 minutes until golden brown.
Cool and serve! ♥️
P.S. May mix breadcrumbs in the jerky bits too, but it’s optional. 🙂
