🔥 I thought I had to push harder to succeed. Instead, I burned out. 🔥
I worked tirelessly—giving my all, chasing excellence, balancing endless responsibilities. I believed that if I wasn’t struggling, I wasn’t trying hard enough.
I was wrong.
The harder I pushed, the more my body pushed back. Debilitating migraines stole my energy, focus, and time. Still, I ignored the signs and kept grinding… until a colleague literally dragged me to a meditation class.
It did NOT go well.
My back hurt; my foot went numb; my thoughts raced even faster. Sitting still felt like torture. And so, I added meditation to my growing list of failures.
Then, I met Mingyur Rinpoche, and he shattered everything I thought I knew about meditation.
Meditation isn’t about forcing stillness.
It’s not about emptying your mind.
It’s not about getting it right.
It’s about creating space for whatever shows up—chaos, discomfort, restlessness—and being okay with it.
That shift changed my life. I stopped fighting so hard. I learned to be okay with not being okay. And in that, I found a treasure that had all along been inside of me: inner peace, balance, and the freedom to be fully present.
Now, as a certified meditation teacher, I share this practice because I know what it’s like to be overwhelmed, to strive endlessly, to feel like peace is always just out of reach.
If you’ve ever felt that way—if you’re seeking more ease, clarity, or just a moment to breathe—join me for “Anytime Anywhere Meditation” on Feb 15 & 16.
