Today, we celebrate Rebceea's borthday. she is baby Gus mummy.
She and baby gus were tested FeLV+ but luckily after multiple testing they became negative! We adopted them so that mother and child can grow up together!

Today is Baby Gus birthday. Cannot believe he is 4yo today.
It feels more like 4mths old.
His birday cake is chosen by Dot Dot. He wants a Teddy bear on Baby Gus cake 🙂

Oliver and Oledia are very happy and always together. We have also noticed that they are spending time apart to interact with their other siblings. That is a good development.
When they were first united, they refused to leave each other. Maybe they fear being separated again.
After a lot of assurance, they finally know they are united and will not be separated. And so they will do things together but also spend time with their other siblings. Everything is going in the right direction! Pure happiness!

We are very happy Grandpa Oldie is getting better. His wound healing is very slow but luckily stable. He is senior and FIV+ so it is not unexpected.
Oldie is very lucky to have met the rescuer who rushed him for his eye surgery. That saved his life! He was hissing at people all the time and we are glad he realized he dont need to do that anymore! These days, when we hear him meow non stop, it means he wants a hug 🙂

Joan also went for her check up with Uncle Rabbit.
Her cleft implant is in place so that was a good news. She does not need to wear the color anymore. However, she has lost weight, so we are supervising her when she eats. She is given appetite stimulant and we also have high-energy food on standby.
This sweet girl has fought all the way; cancer tumour removed before it spread and multiple surgeries for the cleft palate. Now, we hope she can gain weight and achieve a full recovery. Very proud of this brace girl.

Yesterday, Uncle Rabbit went for his check-up.
He is recovering well from his stroke. He does not wobble so much when he walks. However, he has multiple health issues: high blood pressure, heart, kidney, liver and gallbladder. His blood test result is not good and a bit worrying. Now his papa is trying to stabilize his condition.

We were planning Cory's birthday and wondering how to do it since we cannot go near him. Now, we wont be able to do it since he has left.
We take in many animals with health issues, trauma and also dying. They had a hard time on the street before coming to us. Every day alive is a gift. That is why we came up with the idea to celebrate their birthday.
It is our way of telling them never mind what has happen in the past. It is all over now and we will love you and make you happy for the rest of your life.
We never know when they might go or in cory's case go sudendly. That we cannot control.
But what we can do is to make sure they feel happy, loved and pampered every day with us.
Now Cory is free from this world. Head to the rainbow bridge! Alot of siblings waiting to welcome you.

Cory passed away suddenly. We suspect it was a heart attack because he did not show signs like lethargy, weight loss or discomfort.
In a way, this is the best way for him to depart. He is a FIV+ cat and since adopting him in late 2023, we have never been able to touch him or go near him. If he was unwell, we would not be able to give him the care he needs or to medicate him. It would be horrible to see him decline and not able to medicate him.
In his case, he was alert and eating and suddenly passed away.
No prolonged discomfort or pain.
Today, when we prepared his body, we touched him for the first time. In loving memory of this special boy.
