This is 20 years old Wee Wee who has multiple chronic illnesses. She was referred to us for inappetance and was losing weight fast. We noted some ulceration on her lower jaw and suspected infection from retained roots. The day after the consult, she developed a swelling on the same side as the ulceration. We managed to get her pre anaesthetic assessment done and operated on her the next day. We found retained roots and other diseased teeth which were extracted. She was closely monitored during and post surgery. We are happy to report that Wee Wee is back to her happy self and eating better than ever.
We will like to say that age is not a disease. Age is not a reason to withhold treatments. Living out their last days in pain should not be an option.

Nora: hey, it’s soft sun outside, shall we sun our new orchid plant?
Jeev took the orchid out and placed it on a chair. Suddenly she ran out to bring it in because it started pouring.
Jeev: She’s getting wet
Amanda: How do you know it’s a she?
Nora: oh, maybe she identify as they/them

This morning:
Jeev: (pointing to the orchid plant) They is shedding
Nora: Pls give them water

So if u come to the clinic and see 3 people who sound like they failed grammar, this is the reason.

Dear all, Jeev, Amanda and Nora are going out to play. We will be closed on 24th and 25 Feb. We reopen on 27 Feb. So ask the kitties and doggies not to fall sick k.

Dear all, Maranatha Vet Clinic will be closed from 7 Oct to 11 Oct. We reopen at 10am on 12 Oct. Please place any food or medicine refill as required.
We will be away on a trip where Nora and Jeev will eat too much and Amanda will gym too much!

We always appreciate you bringing any concerns to us instead of ranting on social media. If cost is an issue, we will get creative to help within reason but ultimately your pet is your responsibility.

They give their all to our pets, despite mental health struggles in the the field. But vets get shockingly little in their return.
