Trap Neuter Return -TNR Project SG Many cats are born on the street or abandon by irresponsible owners. Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is the key to help them.

Let's talk about it!
We are a one person show, along with our adhoc volunteers who are life savers esp over weekends at our shelter.

Almost every day I hear someone say “I reached out to my local shelter/rescue for help with a kitten, and no one responded because no one there actually cares.” Friends, this attitude has to change. Let’s talk about it!

I understand how frustrating it is to discover the difficulties of finding resources for kittens. Trust me, I get it—110%. That said, we need to speak more kindly about our local rescuers and groups, and to become both empathetic and empowered to be part of the solution.

The truth is that for many shelters and rescues, the simple administrative burden of even responding to endless requests during kitten season can be overwhelming and impossible as they try to do the most they can with the resources they have. But this does not mean they do not care. On the contrary, those already in the trenches often care too much and take on too much...that’s why they may not have time to respond to every inquiry!

Animal welfare workers experience a high incidence of anxiety and depression, particularly during kitten season, because there is an unfair expectation that they have to do it all. It really is true: the more you do, the more you’re asked to do. And the more you’re asked to do, the more you feel like no matter how much you do, you’ll always be falling short. We shouldn’t reinforce those ideas—we should dismantle them.

Shelters and rescues are doing the most they can with the resources they have, and if they aren’t doing more, it’s because they need more people power! That means the frustration you feel with your local resources can be an incredible catalyst for personal empowerment and action. While it’s easier to point a finger, it’s much more effective to lend a hand. And when we all lend a hand, we find that we can have such a greater impact when we all work together. ♥️

Everything is fate when I met this little fellow and also have a potential adopter looking for a male blackie

Today we took in 2 x 5-year-old sisters, whose family gave them up due to their child's allergies. ( Again, a common and lousy excuse)
It’s heartbreaking to know they have live much of their lives in a cage.

One of the cats also has huge amount of hair loss

Before adopting a pet, people need to think long and hard. Pets aren’t toys or short-term commitments — they’re living beings who rely entirely on us for love, care, and security for their entire lives.

Impulsive pet ownership often leads to situations like this. When people don’t consider potential issues like allergies, lifestyle changes, financial responsibilities, or long-term commitment, it’s the animals who suffer.

Worse still, every surrendered or abandoned pet adds to the already serious issue of cat overpopulation. Shelters are overflowing, and many animals don’t get the second chance these cats are lucky to have.

Please, adopt responsibly. Think ahead. A pet is a lifetime promise — not a convenience.

Don't be a part of the problem

Do I look like a Tam Tam or Tanya ?

This young lady about 2 years caught our eye at a fellow rescuer's place.
She was quiet and unassuming in her single tier cage , sometimes putting her paw out to get somebody's attention but often potential adopters walked past her without a 2nd look

A little chonky because she is so easy going with food and we love her for that
We found her to be very sweet and decided to help her find a home.
Now she wears her pink collar proudly knowing that we are finally looking at her.

She is vaccinated. FIV and felv tested negative.
Tabbies are so loveable and sociable
Give her a chance and come visit her and spend some time with her
She is a perfect cuddly cat

In the meantime , let's decide on a name for her :)

Benji was trapped in the defunct Turf Club., unexpectedly caught as the laid out traps were not meant for him
Actually none of the staff knew who he is, not a regular in the area .

They suspect that he could have been abandoned by the owner who thinks that there are feeders and also major effort going on to remove the remaining cats there as it was going into finally locked down by 31 July.

He is sweet and a little needy. Beat that you have cats at home or adopt him with another buddy from us.

Benji is about 9 months old.
FIV and Felv negative.
Vaccinated
Sterilised without ear tip and microchipped

Adoption fee applies
The meshing of window is compulsory.

PM us to meet him in Saturday ( tomorrow ) between 1100 to 3pm.

Update on Pixel.
We arrived as 1st patient, If the p**p still compacted, the surgery will have to proceed. Vet techs told us they were also stressed as they discussed the surgery the night before, as Pixel is too tiny.
Lots of lubricants and water was injected into his a**s the day before and extra new meds and the result is today.

Dr Ly sees him even before his coffee. Lol
First thing he said was the p**p has softened as he massages Pixel. ( Pixel did give us 2 hard small p**p overnight at home but nothing else)

The p**p started
He gave enama and a bit more came out.

He is already relieved and said we can postpone surgery and come back the next day to get more p**p out.

👉He left for coffee.
👉We waited for meds.

In that short wait, Pixel continues to let out watery stool in the carrier and we were cleaning like crazy.

By the time Dr Ly came back and saw Pixel still at it, he got us back into consult room and started the massage and 2nd enama.

What came out was so gross and yet such a happy moment. The vet tech holding on to him, was like
"Pixel, jia you. You can do it" 👏📣👏📣
Every one cheered when so much crap came out.
De Ly smiling from ear to ear
It might not looks like a lot, but it is a lot for a 700g kitten.

Now that 80% has come out, we can monitor how far gone is the colon
We can try to manage this situation till he grows bigger for the surgery

For those who have donated, we want to make clear that this is strictly only for Pixel as hia recovery road is long.
His next review is Monday.
We will be checking in with you for those who would like to get a return of funds and donate when we are closer to surgery.

Give us a couple of days to get things together.
Thanks everyone.this p**p didn't come easy , but it feels great to have you guys behind us, supporting us.

We have a Pixel folder to keep his photos and everyone updated.

Halting the fund raising for pixel as we feel uneasy to do at this size. He is currently at animals wellness and we are trying to find other remedies in meantime.
We will update those who have donated.

Paynow to 93877877.
Target 5000$
Pixel , only at 800g ( with p**p) has been seeing Dr Ly every week, sometimes twice a week to get the compacted p**p out and his ultrasound .
Foster Peggy and Mama Amy have been working round the days to help him as much as possible.

Last week he was still purring in the hands of the vet tech despite the discomfort but today he was crying with the procedure. His legs and bum were bloodied last night , straining to p**p on his own even with medication help.
He had enama, soapy enama, microlax, laxatives and much more but nothing is working. Today his p**p has been hardened and all the way to the t junction of the small intestine
It's heartbreaking to be there, watching him going through it and feeling so helpless.

When we found him with the deform hind leg and a round tummy, we didn't expect the leg to be the least of the problems. He is unable to p**p due to spinal issues affecting the nerves and that crap has been in him for the longest time.
If we didn't pick him up from Kranji, he would have been dead by now

We are trying more meds today but he might need surgery tomorrow.we need to raise 5k for Pixel after a stray cat discount.
He is still a happy baby and even with the risk involved, we have to take it because puttimg him to sleep is not an option .

Foster mama sent her to new home, saying "good bye shelter, hello new life " as they step out the shelters doors

After many long months in the shelter, today is the day Xiao Hua leaves.

She was once just a frightened little blur of fur, rescued from the chaos of the Labrador Tower construction site.

Over time, Xiao Hua blossomed. From hiding under blankets to napping openly in sunbeams, from flinching at footsteps to kneading into hands—she learned that not all humans meant harm. The shelter became her safe haven, her temporary home.

But all along, there was a promise: someday, the right family would come. And now, they have. Today, Xiao Hua leaves the shelter not as the frightened cat from the construction site, but as a brave, loved little soul ready for a forever home.
She starts a new beginning with a new name Hana. 💝💝

Thanks for choosing adoption.
