From teardown to rainforest recovery.

This exhibit revamp for a pair of Chinese crocodile lizard at Singapore Zoo’s REPTOPIA began with an empty enclosure and slowly evolved into a living habitat.

Built not just for display, but for the animals to live within naturally.
The final step was introducing the lizards back into their new environment — where wood, water, and plants come together as one ecosystem.

Hardscape gives the habitat its structure.

What appears to be one large rainforest installation is in fact three independent vivariums. Designed and displayed as a single habitat.

A tree, reimagined.

Not grown, but constructed.
Not decorative, but deliberate.

The paludarium features a kapok tree interpreted in concrete. A translation of rainforest roots into architectural form. What appears rigid at first glance is designed to host life; water, plants and movement coexist within a sculpted structure.

Inspired by the buttress roots of towering kapok tree, this piece blurs the boundary between habitat and installation.
