A closer look at the details behind our floor to ceiling paludarium.

Conceived as a living architectural feature, the installation was developed through a 30-day process from tank fabrication and carpentry to concrete hardscape construction, painting, planting and final delivery.

The vertical scale allowed us to approach the composition differently, using structure, depth and planting to create the impression of a rainforest extending through the space.

Up close, the material transitions and finer details become more apparent, where fabricated structure, concrete and living elements come together as one continuous environment

The floor to ceiling proportions of this paludarium allowed us to work vertically. Creating the sense of looking into a slice of rainforest, where trunks, roots and foliage extend upwards rather than being confined to a conventional tank.

The hardscape was sculpted entirely from concrete, forming tall naturalistic structures that emphasise height and depth.

Sometimes, it’s not about building wider.
It’s about building upwards.

A rewarding collaboration with Baya Weaver Pte Ltd at the Singapore Garden Festival.

Our paludarium was incorporated into their competition showcase, bringing together landscape architecture and vivarium in a shared space. Among five selected participating landscape design firms, Baya Weaver was awarded Bronze.

Congratulations to Le Anh, and thank you for having us be part of the journey!

Built for the rainforest.

Now the question is: what would you host in this 30x30x45 cm habitat.

What if a rainforest could fit on your desk?

Inspired by buttress roots and the dense understory of tropical forests, this vivarium was designed to feel larger than it actually is.

Every root, rock and plant was placed to create depth, scale and the illusion of an ancient forest hidden behind glass.

The best part? It'll only look better with time.

Swipe left for the details.

From teardown to rainforest recovery.

This exhibit revamp for a pair of Chinese crocodile lizard at Singapore Zoo’s REPTOPIA began with an empty enclosure and slowly evolved into a living habitat.

Built not just for display, but for the animals to live within naturally.
The final step was introducing the lizards back into their new environment — where wood, water, and plants come together as one ecosystem.

We construct habitats.

Hardscape gives the habitat its structure.
Planting gives it life.
One is built with concrete, texture, and form.
The other slowly takes over with growth, colour, and movement.

Honestly, we still can’t decide which part we enjoy more.
Which would you choose?

Before planting.
After planting.
That’s it. That’s the difference.
Same structure, same layout.
But once life moves in, everything changes.
From bark and branches to a living rainforest.
This is where a build becomes a habitat.

Swipe right to see it come alive.

Client came in for a viewing.
Client left with a forest.

A 45 cube forest floor vivarium. Anchored by sculpted concrete roots, slowly being reclaimed by living ferns.
Sometimes, the piece chooses the owner.

We construct habitats.
