Established in February 2008, The Animal Doctors is a small animal clinic owned and run by two good friends who met in university and who serendipitously found they both shared a passion for a high standard of care for all domestic animals. Our clinic is equipped with full in-house laboratory services, with on-site blood testing and diagnostics allowing us to arrive closer to a diagnosis with mini

mal delay. Our X-ray machine also provides a fast and efficient diagnosis for a plethora of medical conditions. In addition, we also offer ultrasound services to investigate the abdomen and thorax without the need for invasive surgery. Our surgical suite is also equipped with extensive anaesthetic continuous monitoring devices to ensure that your animal is kept safe under general anaesthesia. This, along with a wide range of surgical equipment, enables us the capability to perform a variety of soft tissue and occasional orthopaedic surgeries.

Did you know? Ear mites don’t actually bite — they live off ear wax and skin oils instead! These little freeloaders (scientifically called Otodectes cynotis) spend their lives crawling around the ear canal, causing itchiness and inflammation.

They’re highly contagious between pets like cats and dogs through direct contact or shared environment — but don’t worry, they don’t stick around on humans for long.

One thing’s for sure: they throw quite a party under the microscope! 🎉

These tiny crawlers are ear mites, caught on camera under the microscope from a cat’s ear sample! 👀🐾

They feed on oils and debris inside the ear canal, causing itchiness, redness, and that classic head-shaking.

If your cat’s been scratching their ears or shaking their head more than usual, it might be time for a closer look!

A few moments from our Nurses Skills Lab! 🐰

This session focused on rabbit GI anatomy, physiology, and abdominal palpation, giving our team a deeper understanding of what’s happening inside these delicate patients. Using cadavers, everyone had the chance to palpate and then dissect to visualise the structures they felt — reinforcing both theory and hands-on skills.

Dear clients, please note that our Ang Mo Kio branch will close early tomorrow, 19 October 2025 for a clinic event, and remain closed for the full day on Monday, 20 October 2025 for the public holiday.

📍 Our Tiong Bahru branch will stay open with regular hours on Sunday, 19 October 2025, but will also close on Monday, 20 October 2025 for the public holiday.

🐾 Both branches will reopen as usual on Tuesday, 21 October 2025.
