Mdm Wong's Shelter and Friends

1) IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT bring any abandoned or rescued animals to our shelter. We WILL NOT accept them as we are operating at MAXIMUM CAPACITY. Please seek other alternatives.


If you are in a position where you no longer want your pet due to a change in circumstances do not assume it can be 'deposited' at the shelter. We encourage all owners to explore alternatives such as rehoming with family or friends or temporarily getting the pet boarded for a short while. Never ever just put the animal out on the street to fend for itself. If you are left with NO other option but to seek rehoming then please contact us at our email address with all necessary details including your full contact details and we will put a posting out on your behalf. Animal lovers consider pet abandonment as serious an issue as animals that are physically abused as this is mental abuse for the pet who doesnt understand why they are being given up.

2) Visiting: All visiting are strictly via appointment basis. We may not be able to entertain walk-in guests due to limitation of manpower.

4) Contributions: Any contribution or offers of the following items would be extremely appreciated:

- blankets
- towels
- newspapers
- plastic bags that are used as poo bags
- animal bathing products
- flea and tick treatments, especially 'Frontline' Spray - must be new/sealed
- cat toys - especially scratching posts or catnip mats
- cat / dog treats
- cat / dog food (wet, dry or kibbles)
- dog leashes (thick, long)
- unwanted pet carriers / leads / harnesses

5) Our site is dedicated for animal welfare and the wonderful work that is done by Mdm Wong and her volunteers. All content is vetted and interactions monitored to prevent any abuse - this site is monitored 24hrs a day. Important Note - By posting comments and material on our site you have to abide by our principles as animal lovers who are committed to the cause of promoting and supporting animal welfare. This site is managed by a democratic group of animal lovers and supporters who believe in working in a community with those with shared values and beliefs. Please act respectfully and courteously in all postings that are made, after all we are an animal welfare community and nothing else.

6) We would be delighted to accept any pictures or stories of any of the animals that have been succesfully fostered or adopted from Mdm Wong. If any photo's are posted on our page we will assume that appropraite permission has been sought by the owner of the photograph for their onward use and publication.

7) We are keen to see animals going to permanent loving homes especially given the high number of stray puppies that are abandoned in Singapore so we unfortunately cannot allow postings of any individuals that are possibly breeding for money - that would not be in line with our mission in rehoming those in need. We apologise if this upsets people but 'opting to adopt' is our mission.
