Did you know that guinea pigs can start mating at the young age of 2-3 months?

Snuggles the guinea pig came in for castration as his owner was worried he would impregnate his offsprings. This is him recovering from anaesthetia and sniffing in oxygen.

The benefits of castration are to reduce unwanted pregnancies, eliminate the risk of testicular cancer and decrease aggression among playmates.
