To our community,
We are aware that Lucky’s story has been widely shared today. We have read every comment. We hear you.
We are heartbroken by what happened on 31 March. His passing has affected everyone in our team deeply. We are all pet lovers as much as we have always worked hard to be a responsible business. We know how much every pet means to their owner.
We are cooperating fully with NParks and will continue to do so.
As a responsible business that has always placed the welfare of animals at the heart of everything we do, we believe that any incident, regardless of its cause or circumstances, is an opportunity to examine ourselves more deeply.
While the investigation to determine what actually happened is ongoing, we have voluntarily engaged external expertise to conduct a thorough review of our entire business operations. It is a reflection of who we are and the standards we hold ourselves to.
We believe that the trust placed in us by the rabbit community deserves nothing less than our very best.
As part of this review, the groomer involved has been stood down from grooming duties pending the outcome of our investigation. We are also taking this opportunity to conduct a full refresher training programme across our entire grooming team.
To Michiko – we are deeply sorry for the loss of Lucky.
