Earlier we had introduced 6 out of 8 cats who came into our care 3 weeks ago.. finally its 7 & 8’s turns..

The delay was cos we din managed to get good pics of them previously.. 😅

No 7. 𝓟𝓲𝓹𝓪! P**a is a sweet n affectionate gal secured by Nigel intended for TNR.. but her trusting personality makes her unsuitable for street life.. we took her into our care after seeing how well she interacts with other cats at her first foster home.

𝓟𝓲𝓹𝓪 is approx 2 yo.. sterilized, FeLV FIV Negative, dewormed n deflead.. received her first vaccine. she is prettier in cat than in photos.. her ‘I love u hoomans’ is her charm.. ♥️

No 8 𝓜𝓪𝓻𝓿𝓲𝓷.. Marvin is a super handsome boy, also trapped by Nigel. We learnt from Nigel that community caregivers said he was a bully when he first appeared at their feeding area n was terrorizing other community cats.

But when we met him, he was clearly dejected.. head lowered.. aside from looking forward to his meals.. he appears to have little motivation to make friends. We are giving him time to perk up n hope he learns to trust hoomans again.

Est 4+ yo, 𝓜𝓪𝓻𝓿𝓲𝓷 has been sterilised, tested Negative for FeLV FIV, dewormed, deflead n vaccinated.

Special Sunday with good friends.. home cooked tingkat lunch, boost juice n cakes.. plus unplanned visits by friends n adopters.. 🥰

Yest we welcomed 2 families (2 moms n 8 kittens).. they were strays / abandoned cats at Kensington n Gambas resp.. rescued by Nigel after Stefani n Hajira’s requests reached him..

Mama Milky n her kiddos are still very skittish.. need time to rehabilitate.. Mama Maple n her babies are friendlier..

Mama Maple is approx 2-3 yo.. her 3 kittens, ginger boy, tortie n grey tabby gals.. est 3 mos.

Mama Milky is approx 2 yo, her 5 cow kittens, 4 boys, 1 gal, est 4 mos.

Both mom cats have since been sterilized n tested for FeLV n FIV (both Negative). All 10 kitties have been dewormed n deflead n all except Mama Milky have received their first vaccination.

the first vet bill (including prelim checks, vax n anti parasite treatment) for all 10 of them has set us back by close to $600.

We are in the midst of fundraising for shelter rental, utilities n maintenance fees for the next 8 months..

With 10 more mouths to feed, any help to co-sponsor their first vet bill is deeply appreciated.

🫶🏼 Fund Appeal 🐈‍⬛

from previous fund raisers, donations, collabs, we have managed to keep a small reserve of funds, to ensure we will have enough $ to pay rental n our rescues will always have a roof over their heads.

However, over the past months, donations from visitors have dipped n we are digging into the reserve. This month, including clearing out our reserve, we won’t have enough to pay staff n supplies after paying rent at month end. 😢

While most animal shelters appeal for 100% funds on a monthly basis, we chose to rely on donations from visitors to keep our shelter n rescue work sustainable.

Our last appeal (excluding Boris’ medical appeal) was in Oct 25, where we needed to pay off the renovation n reinstatement of old shelter debts.

We have managed to keep our shelter running like this for 4 years, providing shelter for 45 - 60 cats at any one time, n rehoming over 100 cats per year for the past 4 years.

We had cut costs by giving CCS a transport n meal allowance only n underpaying our only part-time staff.. despite there’s too much work to be undertaken by 1 person, 😢

After 4 years, we have to admit, it’s becoming unsustainable.. staff is experiencing burnt out n a dip in morale, being overworked n under paid.

CCS’s savings cannot stretch any further to cover her living costs when only accepting a meagre allowance for taking care of the rescues. We want to pay our diligent part time staff a fair wage n if situation allows, get an additional pair of hands to share the load.

If we pay our staff fairly, our monthly expenses is approx $15000 (covering rental, utilities, food n supplies costs, maintenance costs, transport fees, routine medical, staff costs, etc). Our current donations from visitors cannot fulfil the expenses.

Therefore we would like to humbly appeal for part funds to help us see our operations at least till the end of this year.

We are appealing for donations to cover our monthly shelter rental, utilities n maintenance costs ($5 k), so that donations from visitors can be used for the remaining expenses.

Our goal is to raise $40k to see us through to the end of this year.

Last week we welcomed 8 newbies to PAC.. Introducing 2-6 of 8, who are seeking new homes..

Mama 𝓜𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓱𝓪 n her 4 gals, 𝓜𝓮𝓵𝓪𝓷𝓲𝓮, 𝓜𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓵𝓭𝓪, 𝓜𝓪𝓻𝓲𝓵𝔂𝓷 n 𝓜𝓪𝓿𝓲𝓼.

Mama 𝓜𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓱𝓪 n her babies were residents at a construction site at McNair Road n cared for by the workers. However, the project was close to completion n their caregivers will be moving out.

Catherine n her neighbours were concerned for the family n reached out to us for help.

CWS Nigel secured the family n brought them for their vet checks. Mama Martha will be sterilised next week before adoption.

Martha is est 2-3 yo, FeLV FIV Negative, she has received her first vax, dewormed n deflead. Her 4 kittens, all gals, are approx 3 mos young.. dewormed n deflead.. first vax ✅

This week we welcomed 8 newbies to PAC.. Introducing 1/8; 𝓕𝓮𝓵𝓲𝔁

𝓕𝓮𝓵𝓲𝔁 is a charming n handsome tux, its unimaginable the poor boy has no home..

He has been helping himself to the kibbles n water Salina left for the comm cats for over a year. His fur was very clean hence Salina had assumed he was a roaming pet cat. But lately he has been hanging around after eating n seemed homeless. Thus Salina contacted CWS to secure him for sterilization.

We learnt of his case from trapper Nigel.. Felix has a very gentle n timid personality, we feel he is not suitable to stay outdoors.. thus we decided to bring him to PAC after his sterilization.

approx 2-3 yo, Felix has since been sterilized, tested Negative for FeLV FIV, dewormed, deflead n has received his first vax.

He is seeking a new home.

Today CCS prepared home cooked dinner - chicken fillet with chicken liver n carrot in bone broth.

While the enthusiasm wasn’t like the typical fb videos, most of us cleared our plates with little leftovers.. 😅😋
