Unfortunately for us, debates are often won by confidence, not logic.

We’ve all fallen for these at some point.

Learning to spot logical fallacies doesn’t tell you what to believe. It helps you evaluate claims more objectively and ask better questions.

The next time you have second thoughts, ask yourself:

• What’s the evidence?
• Could there be another explanation?
• Am I looking at data or anecdotes?
• Is this argument actually logical?

Critical thinking is one of the most valuable skills you’ll ever develop.

Just so everyone is clear, flinching is a reflex and should not be used as a means of telling whether your dog has been mistreated.

For avoidance of doubt, ATC staff are also not mistreated.
