Not sure what to do to stop your puppies from continuous biting? Here are some reasons why puppies are biting and some tips you could try when they are mouthing.

It is normally for puppies to bite or chew to play or investigate objects. Puppies sometimes have temper tantrums when biting gets aggressive. This often happens when making a puppy do something he doesn’t like or they are restricted to do things they want to do.

Here are some tips you could do when you want to stop the mouthing behavior.
1️⃣Change the object with a toy or a chew bone.
2️⃣Encourage noncontact forms of play, such as fetch and tug-of-war, rather than wrestling and rough play with your hands.
3️⃣Provide other interesting and new toys to play with instead of gnawing on you or your clothing.
4️⃣Give your puppy time-outs for hard biting, start to give him time-outs every time you feel his teeth touch your skin.
5️⃣Use a taste deterrent, for example spray vinegar on your cloth or furniture.
6️⃣Most importantly, owners need to be patient and understanding.

🐶Do you suspect your dog has separation anxiety?
🐾Does your dog recently have increased barking, howling, whining or destructive behaviours?

⭐️There are several ways you can treat separation anxiety, such as
1. Medications (either long-term or short-term)
2. Avoidance: avoid leaving your pets home alone. Dogs with separation anxiety often have panic attacks when people leave them. For example, do several errands all in one trip or ensure the pets can see you in different rooms.
3. Food dispensing and puzzle toys: food dispensing, snuffle mats, puzzles and others can help reduce a dog's overall stress level and help them to be more independent.
4.Create a relaxing environment: Setting up a safe haven will help your dog feel safe when you are not at home.
5. Make sure the dog's basic needs are being met: Exercise such as sniff walks, games where they find hidden toys or treats can give your dog mental stimulation and reduce stress.
6. Independence exercise: giving your dog a food dispensing or puzzle toy before walking out of the room.
7. Absolutely no punishment: Try to understand that when your dog is being destructive, they just want to reunite with you and feel safe. So even if punishment may seem to work, the dog can still feel anxious when you are not around.

Copraphagia is the eating of f***s. Coprophagy is believed sometimes related to undigested nutrients in the stool, so that (in theory) improving digestion will reduce the urge to reingest. While most cases of coprophagia appear to be purely behavioral, there are indeed numerous medical problems that can cause or contribute to coprophagia.

🧑🏻‍⚕️𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁:
One can try feeding pineapple, mature cheddar cheese, concentrated enzyme supplements like Forbid or Adolph’s meat tenderizer but these remedies may or may not work.
Bromelain and papain have been used in the coprophagia remedies to make the stool less appetizing. Highly digested protein is less palatable than intact protein in foods, so it may help.

The only really effective treatment for coprophagia is avoidance. As part of house training, owners should be outside with the dog and clean up right away so there's nothing for her to eat. Coprophagia can best be corrected by preventing access to stools, by thorough cleaning of the pet's property, and by constant supervision when the pet is outdoors. This and maturation can often stop coprophagia.

🌰Macadamia nuts can make your dog vomit, weak and depressed. In general, all nuts should be avoided because some are toxic and some have choking hazards.

🍫Chocolate, especially dark chocolate contains toxic substances called methylxanthines and this can cause diarrhea and vomiting in dogs, while too much can cause seizures, irregular heart function and even death

🍻Alcohol can make a dog vomit, diarrhea and also cause breathing problems, coma and even death. The smaller the dog, the worse its effects.

☕️Caffeine in any form. Although a couple of licks of coffee won’t kill your dog, if they lap a cup up, caffeine can make them hyperactive, restless and even cause them to die. So make sure you discard used coffee grounds and keep bags of coffee out of your dog’s reach.

🥛Milk, similar to humans, some dogs may have lactose Intolerance and although small amounts are fine. Offering your dog a bowl of milk can cause unpleasant side effects, including diarrhea, vomiting, and loose stools. Adult dogs should not be fed milk on a routine basis.

🍬Xylitol which can be found in chewing gums is extremely toxic to dogs. Even small amounts of xylitol can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), seizures, liver failure, or even death in dogs.

🌱Spinach is high in oxalic acid, which may blocks the body’s ability to absorb calcium which can lead to kidney damage.

🥑Avocado pit, skin, and leaves of avocados contain a toxin persin that often causes vomiting and diarrhea in dogs.

🧅Any plants belong to the allium plant family, such as onions, leeks, and chives are poisonous to most pets. Onions can damage your dog’s red blood cells, and can also cause vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, and nausea.

🥔Raw potatoes are toxic for dogs. Especially, sprouted potatoes have higher levels of glycoalkaloids including solanine which is not safe for dogs to eat.
