Congratulations to the Singapore Grower and Exporter Association’s rendition of the iconic Supertrees flourishing in orchids, securing the gold medal in the 25m2 orchid displays competition, at the 15th APOC Taiwan 2025! The show runs till 23rd March 2025!

Singapore’s Orchid Diplomacy, by veteran journalist Koh Buck Song, is a lavishly illustrated book, jointly commissioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and NParks, that tells the story of Singapore’s cultivation of international goodwill through the naming of exclusive orchid hybrids for dignitaries who visited this country’s world-renowned Botanic Gardens. Each of the 60 orchid hybrids featured in this volume represents a milestone in Singapore’s diplomatic initiative to promote friendship with other countries.

Included among these hybrids is Aranthera Anne Black (1956), the very first VIP Orchid, available for purchase from Toh Garden’s sales booth at the Singapore Garden Festival in Suntec City. Limited copies of the first print of the book launched last week is available at our booth this national day, whilst stock last! 🤓
