Good morning 🌞 Today will be another hot day with temperatures over 30 degrees. The past 3 weeks most days were this hot 🥵 The dogs are doing great though, they sunbathe and rest, they play, they swim and they get their cuddles and their meals 🐾 The evenings and nights are a lot cooler. We enjoy every little bit of it and are grateful with the lake next to the house, both for the dogs and for us 💦😎

Summer vibes, Husky-style 🌞🐾 While the sun’s out, our fluffballs cool off in muddy puddles or dive right into the lake! 🐶💦 Since Huskies can overheat quicker, we make sure playtime happens during the cooler parts of the day. Keeping it fun for our snow-loving friends! ❄️❤️

We’ve been busy this past week! 🐶
Of course, there’s always time for our daily cuddle sessions with the dogs, but we’ve also been getting lots of things done around here. 💪

We did some kennel repairs, mowed the grass, waterproofed the tent, gave Jim’s little house a fresh coat of red paint and took Ukko, Indra and our 12-week-old pups, to the vet for their vaccinations and microchips. 🩺🐾

Time really flies! The Bear litter is already 12 weeks old! Little Nanuq and Panda have now moved in with grandma Fudge and auntie Momo. 🐻❤️

Some cooler temperatures this week, so most dogs have been out for a run once or twice and they really enjoy it 😎🐾

They're getting so big 🥰 Almost 8 weeks now! 🐾

The bear litter turned 6 weeks already! They grow so fast and develop every day. Yesterday it was time for their first 'walk', we made it 200 m to the neighbours house where we rested in the grass before we headed back. A big adventure for these little legs, and they loved it! 🥰

Waya’s little bears are one month old—and thriving!
🐼🐻🐻‍❄️🐾

They’re walking, wobbling, and very enthusiastic about their three meals a day—though of course, nothing beats a milky top-up from mummy.

This week, they had their very first big yard adventure! They met a few of our gentlest adult dogs, and the calm curiosity on both sides was heart-warming. A little sniffing, some tail wags—and after all that excitement, eight tiny pups collapsed into one big cuddle puddle (ideally on top of us).

We’re starting to see their personalities bloom too: some are bold and bouncy, always first to say hello. Others are a bit more mellow, quietly observing before trotting over for a sniff and a snuggle.

And now that they all have names, it’s time to officially introduce the bear litter:
Karhu, Nanuq, Grizzly, Panda, Nale, Winnie, Ursus, and Kodiak.

Not all of them will be staying here—some already have loving homes waiting—but they’ll always carry a piece of Waya’s spirit with them.

From wolf to bear, this little legacy is growing strong—and we couldn’t be more proud. 🐾

The season is now officially over.

As the last patches of snow melt and the sleds are stored away, we’re taking a moment to look back on an unforgettable winter.

To all of our wonderful guests—thank you for being part of it. For every tour we shared, every laugh on the trail, every snowy snack break around the fire. Your joy and curiosity made this season so special.

To our amazing team—thank you for your hard work, your heart, and for always showing up with passion and care.

And of course to our dogs—the true heroes of it all. Thank you for every run, every pull, every wagging tail and excited bark. You gave your all, and we’re endlessly proud of you.

Now it’s time for a well-earned summer break for our four-legged friends. Rest, play, sunshine, and a bit of peace before we start training again in autumn.

Thank you for a magical season—we’ll see you again next winter.
