No trials for us in April but that doesn’t mean we don’t do fun stuff. The perfect end to a long weekend. We got to hang with and go on a bike ride. Esja did super good and was the lead dog most of the ride and even managed to run past some deer.

Third title in three months and Esja keeps blowing me away 🤩

We had a hard time at today’s freestyle trial and it was obvious that the lack of structure through the week was affecting her, that combined with a very loud hall with many moving elements gave us a little challenge.

Our first start it became clear that she was having a hard time hearing me over the speakers so that first half of our routine was difficult. We still managed to get a qualifying score even if it wasn’t what I had hoped for. Here we got our third title this year and sixth in less than a year.

Second run I had adapted our plan accordingly but still was to quiet in the beginning which threw our entire routine off balance. Still managed enough points for a second qualifying run and even sixth place (out of 22).

Now we are going to place our focus on tracking, sök, mondioring and search and rescue for the rest of the year.

Even if the day didn’t go as planned I couldn’t be happier with my little wonder dog ✨
