I went with cherry barbs as tank mates, they seem to love the strong current and slightly lower temperature. If it was not for them and the moss this could have become a biotope.

melanotaenia are perhaps not as colourful as the "lasers" but these ones are easily one of the most active and entertaining cories I have kept. It's a species I would highly recommend to others.
