This is a natural and healthy response during the breeding season.
When we look inside their nest box, Green-Wing Macaws become highly protective and alert, showing strong bonding and responsible parenting.

This behavior indicates:
• Active breeding cycle
• Strong pair bonding
• Healthy controlled environment
Good parents always protect their nest.

VENT TRIMMING

This method of vent trimming druring breeding season is very common among Canaries breeders, Specially Gloster and Norwich canaries or any canaries that have thickfeathers around the vent. Which sometimes comes in way of proper fertilization of the female, This method applies to all birds. That have fertility issues.It sometimes work. I have tried it on Show Budgerigars and othe small parakkets like budgerigars, cockatiels and african lovebirds to name a few and found it effective.
