PETS + is closing its doors — but not its heart.
Ten years ago, I envisioned changing the perception and treatment of animals — mostly through pets. Then the journey began.
As a certified dog trainer, I wasn’t happy with what I was seeing. The lack of proper services and the quality of care concerned me, even for my own pets. That’s why I created PETS + — to offer vet care, dog training, walking, grooming, pet boarding & day care, food and accessories, and most importantly, animal rescue and adoption. I wanted to help strays. Today, I care for over 20 rescued dogs and cats, and as a company, we’ve rescued and rehomed close to a hundred pets.
For many years, we’ve led the way in improving animal welfare, raising awareness, and setting higher standards of care. We proudly educated pet guardians, trainers, walkers, veterinarians, and other products and services providers on compassionate treatment, positive training methods, and the importance of adoption. PETS + played a crucial role in shaping Kigali’s pet care industry, inspiring and training many of the service providers you see today.
To every partner, supplier, employee, supporter, and pet guardian who believed in our mission — thank you. Special gratitude to Ineza, Dr. Arum & the WAG team for their unwavering support.
The facility and operations will continue under Ineza’s management. For any questions regarding services or invoices, please contact me directly at 0782 866 081.
This is not the end of PETS + as a brand. While the business is closing, I’ll still be here — advocating, rescuing, and sharing valuable information while deepening my knowledge of pet care in unique ways and coming up with unique & useful products that you and your pet will love. Stay connected with us on social media to see what’s next!
Finally, the work doesn’t stop. I still care for over 20 rescued dogs and cats that rely on donations for food and vet care. If you’d like to support these rescues, any contribution would mean the world to them and me.
This chapter may be ending, but the impact we’ve made will live on in the hearts and paws of Kigali’s pets. 🐾
Thank you all.
