🇬🇧 At the Count Mikes Stud 🐎 we are extremely proud of our Szekely horses. On our picture 2 year old Hassan is getting measured on the Horse Exhibition last year.

🇷🇴 La Manejul Contelui Mikes 🐎 suntem extrem de mândri de caii noștri secui. În imaginea noastră, Hassan, de 2 ani, este măsurat la Mustra Cabalină de anul trecut.

🇭🇺 A Mikes Gróf Ménesnél 🐎 rendkívül büszkék vagyunk székely lovainkra. A képen Hassan, a 2 éves csikó, tavalyi Lómustrán mérés közben látható.

🇬🇧 Count Mihály Mikes presumably founded his stud at Marosújvár in the early 1700's. He bought Székely and Transylvanian mares and crossbred them with Turkish stallions. Much later Count István Mikes II. (1789-1836) took over the management of the family stud and did not use foreign horses for breeding, because he believed that horses larger than 55-60 inches were never as good as their smaller companions.

🇷🇴 Contele Mihály Mikes și-a fondat herghelia la Gherla la începutul anilor 1700. A adunat iepe secuiești și ardelene și le-a încrucișat cu armăsari turci. Mult mai târziu contele István Mikes II. (1789-1836) a preluat conducerea hergheliei familiei și nu prea a folosit cai străini pentru a prăsi, deoarece credea că animalii mai mari de 15o cm nu sunt destul de buni pentru muncă și călare.

🇭🇺 Gróf Mikes Mihály feltehetően az 1700-as évek elején alapította marosújvári ménesét. Székely és erdélyi kancákat gyűjtött össze és ezeket török ménekkel fedeztette. Jóval később Gróf Mikes István II. (1789-1836) átvette a családi ménes vezetését és nem nagyon használt idegen lovakat a nemesítéshez, mert úgy tartotta, hogy a 15 markosnál (1 marok= 10,5 cm) nagyobb lovak soha nem olyan jók, mint a 14, 15 markosak.
