DEAR SUPPORTERS OF THE PUSSKAS - PLEASE READ! 🙏😺
I am making a serious appeal today as every day I am struggling to work. As this has been the case on and off for years now, I have to conclude that this is my life now, and accept what is - whilst trying my best with self care and a healthy diet etc.
When I first connected with my dear Claudia Radu Popa at Lara's around 2017 she had 55 cats and 3 dogs. I visited Romania again in 2018, and a firm friendship began between us. I promised to help them.
9 years nearly later I kept my promise every day. The problem is there are now aproximately 170 cats, and 3 dogs. (2 once Maisie comes to me.) Claudia never went searching for more. Many were dumped at hers, or she found DYING on the street. My friend cannot walk by, and neither could I.
However this means the outgoings and needs have increased tenfold. I used my £16,000 savings, plus now £16,000 debt. Some say the stress adds to my lack of well-being - but what do I do? I will never walk away from them. A promise is a promise. Plus I would never sleep knowing they were starving etc. 😭
I sent the money for the outstanding £750 vet debt. Unfortunately Claudia has had to use that for the shop debt, and now litter.
I can't borrow more on my card. I have approached the company who I have borrowed from before to get a lifetime loan on my house. The challenge is the gilt rates are bad at the moment so the interest will be ridiculous. This has to be a last resort. If it weren't for my gang I would have no qualms about downsizing. But it's their home, it's not that big anyway, and they need this space.
My biggest fear is getting more ill, so fundraising is even more difficult. I have stopped selling items for now, as I have no energy for what it entails. 😔
So I throw myself on behalf of Lara's at the mercy of this beautiful community. It's difficult when you were someone so independent and energetic to continually beg. But this isn't for me. It's for the precious souls that humans have let down. 🥲
If we don't pay this £750 bill we have no vet.
The shop debt is currently £600.
The rent will be due soon at £150. Plus Vodafone, Gas and Electricity.
When they are ok I feel so much better. 🥲
I can't fail them. 😔🙏❤️
