Oops I did it again, a familiar phrase at QAWS 🙈

This is what happens when you just quickly nip to the mall on the way to the shelter. Does anyone have any blinkers we can start to wear? 😂

Meet Rhys, he was frantically trying to get off the burning tarmac into the cool entrance way of a shopping mall but failing miserably as security had spotted him 😢

While "talking" to security about their treatment of animals this little boy was winding his way round our legs and into our hearts.....there was no way he was getting left behind. So here we are, again, just one more 😱

Another young, sweet, happy pup, about 3 months old. No family in sight, so now he has you, and us, to make sure he has a chance 🥰

The situation is ridiculous and we have to laugh or we will literally cry. Please help us pay the bills to keep the shelter open, times are pretty tough at the moment (oh for a day when money is no object 🙏)

Happy Day, Happy International Adoption Day, Gremlin 🇨🇦❤️

We don't often have international adoptions for our cats so we are celebrating today. Handsome young Gremlin has found the most amazing forever home where he can now truly start his life with his family, including another recent QAWS dog, Curtis (now Raymond) 🥰

Gremlin had many challenges from the day he was rescued and is now 100% fit and well but an international home with access to first class medical care (hopefully never needed) is just an added extra. He will be missed by our volunteers as he's such a character but everyone is so happy for him😍

Thank you to his amazing flight buddy Karine Wehbe you were the best ✈️

Thank you to his new family for choosing him and giving him this wonderful happy ever after, next? 😂

Another awful sight, posted everywhere, desperately in need of emergency care 💔

We waited a while to post this as we weren't sure this little girl could pull through. Despite the horrific wound and un-imaginable pain she's a fighter.....she has a long way to go but has finally turned a corner 🤞

Meet Barbie, we are not showing current photos as, despite being admitted at our vets and getting the best care, she still looks awful. How long was she like this? The wire wrapped around her was rusty, dirty and rotten. How on earth did it happen? 😡

Barbie could be discharged but needs a really experienced foster home who can provide ongoing wound care. If you have any ideas or can help please reach out. (Everything provided, including wire crate if needed) 🙏

Handsome Joseph has found himself the most wonderful forever family and everyone is delighted. He's definitely forever home and is settling in like he's always been there 🏡

Our amazing rescues are the best and Joseph is proving how well they can adjust to routine and becoming a loving family pet. He's learning all about life and everyone is enjoying the new normal 😊

Please give a rescue a chance, keep adopting, plenty ready and waiting to meet you 🥰

Another day, another rescue, another emergency case who had zero chance if we didn't step in 💔

We can't describe just how wonderful these "Doha Specials" truly are, so grateful, so trusting (despite everything they go through) and so deserving of another chance 😔

Meet Rocket, he's had the worst time at the hands of "humans" and has literally been kicked about so hard it's caused massive swelling in his shoulder.....how could someone do that? If you don't like them just leave them, there is no way this sweet, scared boy was bothering anyone.....he was just trying to survive 😡

We've got him now, he's safe, he'll never have to suffer like that again, someone out there is going to see how special he is and absolutely give him a happy ever after 🙏

Trying to put the "fun" into fundraising 😂

Is your cat bored with their toys? Would they like something new? How about a little mystery bag? Nothing edible 😊

We have 8 bags, QR 50, 50, 40, 35, 30, 30, 25, 25.....first to comment and pledge gets the bag ✅

To be collected/delivered by arrangement. Only in Qatar 🙈

It doesn't matter how often we tell ourselves no more, some days we just have to take a deep breath and accept the inevitable 😔

When these gorgeous Doha Specials were repeatedly posted and not getting any help it was clear they were not going to make it.....covered in ticks, weak, dehydrated and far from well they had to come in 😢

Together with another rescuer we agreed to "share the load" and the pups were taken in and given the emergency care needed. They are now on the long road to recovery and have the chance of a future. Our two have now moved into the office at the shelter 🥰

With events of the last few days it does feel good to have made a positive difference, no matter how small.....every life matters 💔

Please continue to adopt, foster, volunteer, share and support if you can 🙏
