This stray cat was brought to our clinic by kind people in a very painful condition… 🥺🐈

He had severe nasal discharge, difficult breathing, excessive salivation, and was very weak. To find the cause, our veterinary team performed X-rays, blood tests, herpes virus testing, and FIV testing.

Thankfully, all tests came back negative, and after further examination we diagnosed him with emphysema.

Emphysema in cats affects the respiratory system and can happen because of severe inflammation, trauma, or airway damage, making it difficult for them to breathe normally.

After treatment and supportive care, he slowly started eating again 🧡 No more sneezing or nasal discharge.

And this is him today - back home, active, playful, and feeling much better 🐾✨
