Charlie and Fredo to Latvia 🇱🇻🐦

A mission that was kind of impossible. 😅

You know that it is not easy to send birds...much worst CITES birds to Europe. From complicated papers to testing and of course finding the right people to work with that knows the process. We are just lucky that we found them, and with the birdies Mom that is very eager and willing to do everything just to bring the birdies home, we made it happen. 💪

From the first issue of no direct flight to Riga, finding a country in EU that will accept a transit clearance was a struggle for almost a month. Then Poland accepted! We were so happy. All documents, crates, and necessary procedures was made. Then 1 day from the flight came, another hiccup for us. The plane was not compliant for the birds, no ventilation. But in God's grace, the Airline change to a bigger plane to accommodate us. Then, there is the another issue of paperwork that took us speaking to managers and more managers. 😅 And finally, we were given the green light to proceed 4 hours prior transfer. And the birdies flew to Warsaw. The process in Warsaw was very smooth, the 9 hour drive to Riga was long but chill since the birdies are very cooperative. Whewwww.... I got tired just thinking about the trip. 😄

This is what happens when everyone works together to make things happen. It takes people with the heart to help. Now, the birdies are home, together with their sister cat Lucy, who traveled before them.😻 As the birdies Mom said, Mission Accomplished Maria! 💪🙌

DUA - means prayer in Arabic. 🙏🏻

Dua's story is very special. It started one Tuesday morning, when I arrived at the Ministry to do my daily work routine. A family of Mom and 3 kids approached me as they had been referred to me by the Ministry staff. It seems like the family came in to get Dua's export permit as they are taking her to the UK, but the Ministry rejected their application as the requirements are not met. They are traveling that Thursday, in just 2 days. 😮 And you know long it takes and the requirements for UK. 🇬🇧

The family came to Qatar from UK for a 7 day holiday. As they were going on with their tour, they saw a kitten outside a restaurant just beside their hotel. That kitten is trying to get in the restaurant but the people are shoving her away. The family decided to take the kitten, took her to a Vet clinic. Got all necessary treatments, vaccines, and microchipped as they decided to take her with them home. Then they named her Dua. 🥰

The family came for help and did not hesitate to entrust Dua to us. To cut the story short, she stays with us for 4 months until she can travel to UK. We will handle the needed vaccines, Rabies blood test, and treatments. ✈️

Dua...we will send you home. The best gift your family will receive, as she is traveling on Christmas. I think it was meant to be. Love moves in mysterious ways. 🏡🎁❤
