2025 is ending, and it has been the hardest year of our lives. We lost several beloved dogs — some to age, others to sudden, lethal diseases. On top of this grief, we are facing unbearable financial hardship.

💔 Many times, we had to choose between paying rent or saving our animals. You know what we chose: we fought to save them.

We managed to rescue most of those who needed urgent care, but we lost Tinko. His loss hurts deeply, and his bill is crushing us.

🌟 MASDAW——11年的希望、奋斗与慈悲 🌟

今天我们庆祝我们的11周年纪念！

十一年前，我们怀抱着梦想与希望，期盼能让澳门成为一个对动物友善的城市。这些年来，我们救助并照顾了数百只狗、猫、豚鼠和鸟儿。然而，回顾过去，我们却无法说澳门真的变得更友善了。

🐾 狗狗曾经可以去海滩，如今却不再被允许。
🐾 大多数动物协会只能把动物安置在工业大楼里。
🐾 没有被领养的猫咪，因为绝育放归（TNR）计划已不复存在，将面临被杀的命运。
🐾 自2023年以来，被杀的狗狗数量急剧上升——但官方统计却不再公布这些数据，甚至连总数都没有。如果我们想知道每年有多少狗和猫被杀，就必须自己去计算。

这并不是我们所憧憬的充满慈悲的城市。相反，这像是一座无菌的城市，把有感知的生命当作可以被忽视的存在。

💔 MASDAW本身也正面临破产危机，我们不知道还能坚持多久。但我们不会放弃！我们会继续奋斗，并相信新一代能够延续我们的梦想：让澳门有一天能与世界上最先进的城市并肩，在动物福利与权利方面成为榜样。

澳门是一座富裕的城市——然而在宠物的生活条件上，却显得如此贫乏。

👉 你选择站在哪一边？ 是关心，还是转身离开？
动物和人类一样，都是有感知的生命。

🌟 MASDAW – 11 Years of Hope, Struggle, and Compassion 🌟

Today we celebrate our 11th anniversary!

Eleven years ago, we dreamed of helping Macau become an animal‑friendly city. Since then, we’ve rescued and cared for hundreds of dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and birds. Yet, looking around, we cannot say Macau has become more welcoming to animals.

🐾 Dogs are still banned from beaches.
🐾 Most associations are forced to keep animals in industrial buildings.
🐾 Cats without adoption face death, as the TNR program no longer exists.
🐾 The number of dogs killed has skyrocketed since 2023 — but official statistics no longer even show the totals.

This is not the compassionate city we envisioned. Instead, it feels like we are asked to live in an aseptic city, where sentient beings are treated as disposable.

💔 MASDAW itself is facing bankruptcy. We don’t know how long we can continue. But we will not give up. We will keep fighting, and we trust the new generations to carry forward our dream: that Macau can one day stand alongside the most developed cities in the world in terms of animal welfare and rights.

Macau is a wealthy city — yet when it comes to conditions for pets, it feels truly poor.

Animals, like humans, are sentient beings.

Vika 和 Vixie 仍在為生命奮戰。
她們仍在深切治療部，需要氧氣和持續加溫，因為體溫仍然危險地偏低。雖然神經系統症狀略有改善，但她們的免疫系統依然虛弱，仍無法站立或行走。

僅今天，我們就為她們急需的一種藥物花費了超過 MOP 5,800 —— 共需 84 劑。
此外，我們還面臨一筆 MOP 8,000 的電費帳單，以維持她們賴以生存的設備運作。

💔 我們的資金已經耗盡。

Vika and Vixie are still fighting for their lives.
They remain in intensive care, needing oxygen and constant heating as their body temperatures stay dangerously low. While their neurological symptoms have slightly improved, both are still immunocompromised and unable to stand or walk.

Today alone, we spent over MOP 5,800 on just one of the medications they urgently need — 84 doses for both.
And we’re also facing an MOP 8,000 electricity bill to keep their life-saving equipment running.

Vixie 和 Vika 正在为生命而战。

这两只温柔的猫咪，是我们从市政收容所领养的宝贝，已经陪伴我们几个月了——它们信任我们，感受到爱，终于安全了。

现在，她们都处于危急状态，正在住院治疗，患上了致命的猫传染性腹膜炎（FIP）。
这种病毒有时会通过胎盘传播，并可能导致严重的神经系统损伤。
她们已经进入了这个阶段。

每支 5 毫升的治疗药物至少需要 625 澳门币。
她们每只都需要连续 84 天的治疗。
而且她们都在重症监护室（氧气舱）中，情况危急。

目前为止，治疗费用已超过 20,000 澳门币。
而这还只是开始。

十月非常艰难。
十一月也没有好转。

我们失去了 Tinko——在他接受下颌癌手术后。
我们甚至还没有鼓起勇气写下他的故事——因为我们不知道该如何向一个陪伴我们超过 13 年、从出生第 12 天就一直在我们身边的可爱狗狗说再见。

然后 Aillon 突然离世，毫无预兆。我们至今不知道原因。
他的妈妈 Bega 仍然健康快乐，是我们遛狗时的明星之一。
为什么只有 9 岁的 Aillon 会离开我们？

Vivica 正在与蜱虫热作斗争。
而这两只年轻、充满活力的玳瑁猫……正在慢慢失去生命的光芒。

我们身心俱疲，财务也已濒临崩溃。
我们不知道该如何承担这些高昂的费用。
但我们不会放弃她们。
我们会一直为她们而战，直到最后一刻。

Vixie and Vika are fighting for their lives.

Two gentle souls, adopted from the municipal pound, who’ve been with us for months—loving, trusting, finally safe.

Now both are in critical condition, hospitalized, battling a devastating virus - FIP - that sometimes strikes cats, transmitted by transplacentary form and can cause severe neurological damage.
They’re already in that stage.

Each 5ml vial of the fundamental medication to treat FIP they need costs at least MOP 625. And each of them will receive this treatment for 84 consecutive. Plus they ate both in ICU (oxygen chamber) in critical condition.

So far, their treatment has already cost over MOP 20,000.
And we’re not even close to the end.

October was brutal.
And November is no better.

We lost Tinko - after the surgery to remove his jaw cancer.
We haven’t even found the strength to write about it yet—because how do you say goodbye to a adorable dog who was with us since he was 12 days old and for more than 13 years?

Then Aillon died, suddenly, without warning. We still don’t know why. His mother Bega, a favourite in our dogs walks still with us, happy and healthy. How come Aillon, with only 9 years has left?

Vivica is fighting tick fever.

And now these two sweet calico cats —so young, so full of life—are slipping away.

We are emotionally and financially drained.
We don’t know how we’ll manage to cover all these costs.
But we will not give up on them.
We will fight for them until the very end.
