OMD Movie Club pick: Best in Show (2000) 🎬🐾

This is for sure the funniest movie ever made about dogs, their eccentric humans, and the wonderful chaos of dog shows… and that’s honestly all the plot you need to know.

The cast is comedy royalty: Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Parker Posey, Fred Willard, Jennifer Coolidge… every performance is ridiculously committed and perfect. All the dogs in the movie are the best … in show ;)

We also want to pay homage to Catherine O’Hara who passed away on 30 January 2026. This feels like the perfect time to rewatch and celebrate her brilliance. 🤍

Everyone who loves dogs will adore this movie. It’s a true classic.

1. Stay safe and approach calmly
2. Secure the dog (second escapes happen fast)
4. 4. Check if there is a collar tag, then scan the microchip at any vet to find the contact of the owners
5. Post a clear “FOUND DOG” notice with the exact area where he was found and the phone number

Prevention reminder: a visible ID tag with your phone number (and dog’s name) helps someone call you instantly, and an Orbiloc LED light keeps your dog always visible during dark walks.
