At 8 years and 10 months old, sweet Amélie 🥰 has finally retired from the ring shows.
She has already retired from agility training and competitions with Caogurus Team ( faria and Joao Manuelk Sa) and from my breeding program at 7 years old.
2025 has also been an amaizing year for her and she has accomplished absolutely all goals we had planned for her.

And... 🏆🇵🇹 Best Breed Veteran 2025, special prize from Portuguese Kennel Club 🏆🇵🇹
For Amelie's last time in ring we took a photo with the judge Dusan Paunovic (RU) to whom we thank for his professionalism and support.
For all these achievements, I surely had a big support from handlers team:
✨ Joana Matos Correia , for her precious handling trainning sessions at my first months adventuring the show rings, and also showing my dogs
✨ Inês Jerónimo , that helped me in most of Amelie shows all over the years, and had the special pleasure to show Amelie in her very last ring, on Major Final Veteran Prizes, on the 26th October 2025 afternoon 🏆
✨ Wonder family Marta Flores, Tiago Flores, Maria Flores and António Flores , that in a short time period managed to show Amelie in a couple of competitions and surprised me with a 🏆 Veteran 1st place Best In Show all breeds podium in Lamego 🏆. This was trully amaizing and unexpected achievement 🏆
We also had a big support from very special and kind groomer Eduardo Pinheiro Almeida , that helped us a lot and also teached me a lot of his grooming skills, so that I could start doing the job myself. He was surely unstoppable and became a friend for life. For grooming, I also have to thank again Marta Flores and of course Isabel Nobre from 'In Dog Grooming' for preparing Amelie for this last weekend show with a lot of hard work in her coat. 🙏
Finally, but not the least, I must thank the help and companionship of Ana Batista , owner of Gáudio das Cantigas de Lisboa, that helped me a lot in the logistics of this last weekend shows for Amelie. It would have been trully harder without her precious help and Gaudio's good temperament and friendship.
Hopefully Amelie will go on by my side for many years to come and will share with you her new retirement challenges 🤗
