so 10 animals of the black star herd were shipped (literally😆) to madeira. without the support & organizing talent of our vet Miguel Miranda and the ANCOSE everything would have been so laborious, but everything went smoothly. so many thanks to the vet, and also the transporter, who arrived 20 minutes early (!) with a clean van and a very professional attitude. thumbs up!
i hope, our animals can enjoy their life in one of europe's most beautiful islands!

actually there were two polled boys from AMARULA, but sadly the black&spotted one was DOA. she did really a good job cleaning him up too and did not give up on him for a long time.

exactly on her due date MOONSHINE went out to the pasture with the herd, but when i checked on her an hour later she was already waiting for me to lead her back to the barn... then she sent me for olive branches & cabbage flowers and more water. in exchange we got a nice set of male twins - which is fair, i suppose.
there are 6 more births coming in the following 2 weeks, enough for a fair dose of females too.
