www.lusitanosmontedatramagueira.com The idea is combine the best worlds of the lusitano breed. Another aim for us is to produce horses with soul and charisma.

The stud currently has twelve own brand Lusitano mares, with all the breeding stock descendant from a very special mare called Havoner, daughter of the famous lusitano Nilo MV and granddaughter of Firme SA. After a few years of breeding, the same genetic was introduced, but this time, with stallions descendant from the famous bullfighting horse Opus 72 MV. The following horses, who have proved the

mselves to be outstanding at the highest levels of the Lusitano breed, predominate in terms of our animals’ genealogy: NILO (M.V.), OPUS72 (M.V.), XAQUIRO (Quina), FIRME (S.A.), UNIVERSO (M.V.), CAMPEADOR (CSM), SOBERANO (GUB), HOSTIL (JGB), ESCORIAL (SB), RUBI (AR), LUX (DR), EQUADOR (MVL), and others. Keep the good minds and capacity of collection of the traditional lusitano bloodlines, and improve with modern bloodlines the skills, the dimension, the gaites, the structure and rideability. This strategy is proving us that is possible to improve the lusitano breed without changing it. Many of our horses are having amazing potential for sports, but continue to be lusitano horses in its deeper concept. We need to look at a horse and see that is a lusitano horse. We have concentrated on a painstakingly strict selection of stallions/broodmares, with the aim of breeding good natured horses with high levels of functionality, physical structure and slenderness, while never disregarding those characteristics which make the Lusitano such an unrivalled horse: BREEDING. Almost all the horses are exported for Center/North of Europe, some are in Spain and Portugal, as well as United States and Eastern Europe. Our endeavours have been rewarded by several prizes in Model and Movements competitions at the International Lusitano Purebred Festival, Golegã Fair, as well as in many International Events all over the World. Our horses achieved many titles of Champions of the Breed, in adition to several horses with outstanding performances in dressage events and bullfighting.

Ontem a nossa égua RIMA DO MT foi pontuada para admissão ao Livro de Adultos da Raça Lusitana. Foi pontuada com 82 pontos, confirmando as qualidades que também já observávamos. Filha do
Lux por Escorial e da nossa grande matriarca Incrível do MT por Campeador. Uma égua com uma morfologia e racialidade únicas e andamentos de enorme qualidade, tendo obtido 9 no passo e 8 no trote e galope. Continuamos a nossa caminhada no sentido de produzir lusitanos com esta qualidade e dentro da tipologia que idealizamos, mantendo-nos fiéis aos padrões da raça lusitana, às suas características únicas mas elevando a sua funcionalidade.

Yesterday, our mare RIMA DO MT was scored for admission to the Lusitano Breed Adult StudBook. She received 82 points, confirming the qualities we had already observed. Daughter of Lux by Escorial and our great matriarch Incrível do MT by Campeador, she is a mare with a unique morphology and raciality and extremely high-quality gaits, scoring 9 in the walk and 8 in the trot and canter. We continue our journey to produce Lusitanos of this quality, within the typology we envision, remaining faithful to the standards of the Lusitano breed and its unique characteristics, while enhancing its functionality.

No fim de semana em que se celebra a raça lusitana através da realização de mais um Campeonato do Mundo da Raça - Festival Internacional do Cavalo Lusitano em Cascais, deixamos algumas imagens de um poldro nascido em 2025, que é, em nossa opinião, um verdadeiro hino a esta fantástica raça: VULCÃO DO MT - beleza, finura, enorme nobreza e andamentos de elevadíssima qualidade.

Queque do MT, garanhão lusitano de 5 anos de idade, propriedade de .schilling.94 e montado por , voltou a classificar-se num concurso internacional de modelo e andamentos da raça lusitana, este ano na classe de garanhões - 5 ou mais anos. Desde vez em Badajoz no Campeonato de Espanha. O ano passado na classe de 4 anos, foi também 4 classificado no Campeonato do Mundo do Cavalo Lusitano em Cascais.

Queque do MT, a 5-year-old Lusitano stallion owned by .schilling.94 and ridden by , has once again placed in an international competition for the model and movements of the Lusitano breed, this year in the stallion class - 5 or more years old. This time in Badajoz in the Spanish Championship. Last year in the 4-year-old class, he was also placed 4th in the Lusitano Horse World Championship in Cascais.

The stud currently has eight own brand Lusitano mares, with almost all of the breeding stock being daughters and granddaughters of NILO (M.V.) and OPUS 72 (M.V.), both by the bloodline of FIRMR (S.A.). We have concentrated on a painstakingly strict selection of stallions/broodmares, with the aim of breeding good natured horses with high levels of functionality, physical structure and slenderness, while never disregarding those characteristics which make the Lusitano such an unrivalled horse: BREEDING.
